## Meeting Details

This is the Ukrainian Carpentries community space.

During these meetings, we will be conforming to [The Carpentries Code of Conduct](https://docs.carpentries.org/topic_folders/policies/code-of-conduct.html).

- Olexandr took part (remotely) in the [CarpentryConnect Heidelberg 2024](https://biont-training.eu/CarpentryConnect2024.html)
- Glosario Hackathon: updated pull requests 683, 687, 692 at https://github.com/carpentries/glosario/pulls - please help to review
- Git lesson hackathon:
- checked all updates of episodes 1-14 in the [Ukrainian translation](https://carpentries.crowdin.com/u/projects/20/l/uk), now they are 100% translated, approval by another person(s) needed before publishing
- submitted https://github.com/swcarpentry/git-novice/pull/1049 to fix https://github.com/ukrainian-carpentries/git-novice/issues/2 (merged, so it should eventually be propagated to our translation)

- Fonts fixed: A triple release of pegboard 0.7.7, varnish 1.0.5 and sandpaper 0.16.10 has happened (with huge thanks to Robert Davey et al.)!!! The changes include improved font support for Ukrainian (and other languages) by moving from Mulish Latin to Mulish Regular

- Translations progress report: the current state, after migrating translations from Transifex, for the three most completed lessons, is as follows:
- git-novice: 98% translated, 79% approved (mostly done)
- shell-novice: 100% translated, 9% approved (we had nearly 100% approval in transifex, so most of that can be quite straightforward)
- python-novice-gapminder: 89% translated, 15% approved (major efforts needed)

- Goodbye, Dracula! The "Wolfman and Dracula" scenario in the [English version of the Git lesson](https://github.com/swcarpentry/git-novice) replaced by a new one: *"Jimmy and Alfredo have been hired by Ratatouille restaurant (a special restaurant from Euphoric State University) to investigate if it is possible to make the best recipes archive ever"*. We will surely like it more. The plan is:
- achieve 100% translation and approval of Git lesson
- update https://ukrainian-carpentries.github.io/git-novice/
- import newest English version into Crowdin
- translate and approve changed text fragments

- StARIS in St Andrews: after organisational delays, Veronika continued to work on it in this semester
