Blockchain Saturday to Host The Lagos Blockchain Conference, 2019.
Cryptocurrency and its underlying Distributed Ledger Technologies (most notably, Blockchain technology) is a highly disruptive one. This is because it has shown the capacity to revolutionize the way a lot of things work. From finance systems to how products and services are obtained and consumed, Blockchain technology cuts across today's major industries, and is likely set to become a harbinger of financial freedom, autonomy and convenience in these systems.
For early adopters, it is important to enlighten the public on the benefits of this technology, so as to encourage the knowledge, development, and ultimately, the worldwide acceptance and application of the blockchain technology (particularly across Africa). Borne out of this need, Blockchain Saturday was created.
#### Who Are We?
At Blockchain Saturday, we are passionate about the success and mainstream adoption of Blockchain technology, and one of the many ways we contribute to this goal is by hosting major tech outreaches, meetups, bootcamps, workshops, and periodic conferences in several institutions and cities across Nigeria, where renowned experts, industry leaders, technocrats and enthusiasts within the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem come together in synergy to share ideas, learn, and build valuable networks in the crypto-space. The gathering facilitates the cross-pollination of ideas to drive towards a more sustainable blockchain ecosystem within the Nigerian communities and by extension, Africa at large.
