## Migration Flow Walkthrough

This proposal template is on an allowlist and only availible to selected L1 DAOs.

### Step 1:
Navigate to the proposal template page and select the Migration template:


### Step 2:
If auctions are not paused you will be prompted to pause them and optionally reduce voting delay + period to 2 days. This helps minimize time spent paused


### Step 3:
Migrate your DAO to a chosen L2. Currently Base is the only option but Zora and Optimism are availible as well. **Proposing and execution are expensive** for this proposal. Builder DAO will **refund associated gas costs**. Try to propose / execute when gas is < 60 gwei.

Creating this proposal takes a snapshot of all DAO members so **ensure that members have tokens in wallets they can use / access on L2**. Any tokens held in smart contract wallets (like Gnosis Safe) will be sent to the [**alliased address on L2**](https://docs.optimism.io/chain/differences#address-aliasing) and can be moved using the Optimism messaging system. Any founders configuration set to a smart contract wallet will be changed to use the alliased address.


### Step 4:
L2 DAO is deployed and tokens have been automatically airdropped. Wait for governance delay and unpause auctions on L2

### Step 5:
Bridge treasury to L2 after confirming deployment was successful and L2 auctions have been unpaused. This step can be done in as many stages as needed. ie you can propose to only send 10% of treasury first then send 90% later:
