# New Year 2025: Delhi Metro announces revised timings at Rajiv Chowk station
In anticipation of the New Year 2025 celebrations, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has issued revised operational guidelines for Rajiv Chowk Metro Station to manage the expected surge in passenger traffic and ensure public safety.

Revised Exit Plan at Rajiv Chowk Station

Initially, DMRC announced that on December 31, 2024, exits from Rajiv Chowk Metro Station would be restricted from 9:00 PM onwards, while entries would remain permitted until the last train's departure.

However, following further consultations with police authorities, DMRC updated this plan. The latest advisory states that Rajiv Chowk Metro Station will remain open for passenger entries and exits until the end of services on December 31, 2024, with the exception of Gate Nos. 5 and 6, which will be closed.

Commuters planning to use Rajiv Chowk Station on New Year's Eve should note the following:

Gate Closures: Gates 5 and 6 will be closed; passengers should use alternative gates for entry and exit.

QR Ticketing: From 8:00 PM onwards on December 31, 2024, QR tickets with Rajiv Chowk as the destination will not be issued through DMRC’s mobile app to facilitate smooth crowd management.

Delhi Police Traffic Advisory

In conjunction with DMRC's measures, the Delhi Police have issued traffic advisories to manage the anticipated heavy footfall near popular areas such as Connaught Place, India Gate, Hauz Khas, and Saket Malls on December 31, 2024, and January 1, 2025. Specific roads will be closed, and diversions will be in place from the evening onwards for proper management at Press Enclave Road and internal roads of Saket and Pushp Vihar.
