# Injective scope Detailed context of our proposal https://hackmd.io/kRIqcPT5Rv2ttwrs0MWQAg ## Implement rate-limit for Injective **Goal :** Design and implement `rate-limit` module operates on both IBC and Peggy bridges. Its primary function is to limit the amount of assets transfer in/out the chain in the period of time (epoch). This is a safety control, intended to protect assets in the case Injective or couterparty chain has bug/exploit. **Timeline** 1. Milestone 1 : **Goal** : - Design document for `rate limit` module that work on both IBC brigde and Peggy brigde. - Prototype of this module. Estimate time : 4 weeks 2. Milestone 2 : **Goal** : - Implementation for `rate-limit` module that work both IBC brigde and Peggy brigde. Estimate time : 6 weeks ## E2E testing for Injective E2E tests for Injective existing modules and features and integrate it to github CI. This E2E testing should be similar with [Osmosis e2e](https://github.com/osmosis-labs/osmosis/tree/main/tests/e2e) or [ibc-go e2e](https://github.com/cosmos/ibc-go/tree/main/e2e) or [gaia e2e](https://github.com/cosmos/gaia/tree/main/tests/e2e) Estimate time : Due to Injective's many features and modules, it takes at least five to six months with 2 devs for the first complete version for e2e testing. ## Infrastructure Availability for chain upgrades/incidents. Full coverage of the IBC: We are currently dominating the IBC on Cosmoshub and Osmosis. our relayer was just spinned up for a week: ![image](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/B1OrGnprp.png) ![image](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/B1cIM2aH6.png) Note: Currently we are financially unavailable to offer other infrastructures like Endpoints but will do once we have redundant resources. ## Pricing We propose 2 phase delegation : **Phase 1 : Ratelimit, e2e testing and other dev/infra work support (3 months)** We expect 1.3M INJ foundation delegation for 3 months with 10% commission rate. With current price and APR (16.20%) and current INJ price(17.14$), this delegation is worth $30000 a month (13000000 * 16.20%/12 * 10% * 17.14). This delegation for cover cost for 2 fulltime blockchain engineer, 1 devops engineer and 1 infrastructure engineer. **Phase 2 : Long term maintaning ratelimit, e2e testing and other dev/infra support** We expect 1M INJ foundation delegation with 5% commission or less in this phase. After we complete the rate-limit module, the task is reduced, allowing us to invest less labor for Injective (1 blockchain engineer and 1 devops engineer and an infrastructure engineer).
