### Uniform Recruitment Requirements
In all cases the candidate is expected to inform the Court of the following information:
> * Of any conviction for an offence;
> * Of any employment or other personal interest which the candidate reasonably thinks may create a conflict of interest;
> * Of any aliases he has used in the recent past, or contemporaneously at the time of application;
> * Insofar as is foreseeable, any limits upon him being able to take his position (e.g. a pending appointment upon which he will resign)

Unless otherwise stated, a 'disqualifying offence' means any felony not stated on [this list](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nWIoFixp8FVogy_XK29c3lHQwHSdb_MdVCsBVU4v7a0/edit?usp=sharing). Nevertheless, if you believe that you should otherwise be exempted, please mention this in your cover letter.

#### 23/001MAG | U.S. Magistrate Judge
> **Job Title**: United States Magistrate Judge
>
> **Description**: The duties of the position are demanding and wide-ranging, and will include, among others: (1) conduct of many preliminary proceedings in criminal cases; (2) trial and disposition of misdemeanor cases; (3) conduct of various pretrial matters and evidentiary proceedings on delegation from a district judge; and (4) trial and disposition of some civil cases upon consent of the litigants. The basic authority of a United States magistrate judge isspecified in [28 U.S.C. § 636](https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/28/636).

> The appointment will be for a renewable duration of 120 days. At the end of the duration of 120 days, the appointee will be able to continue acting for a duration of up to 14 days in order to complete any business still pending. The appointment period is subject to renewal.

## US Courts Public Procurement Offers (USCPPO)

> **Description**: The Courts seek a news agency to work in close collaboration with a judge in order to compile a *Criminal Justice Bulletin*. The *Bulletin* aims to centralise developments in the fields of criminal law and procedure, criminal justice policy, research, and trends in criminal behaviour and criminology. The *Bulletin* seeks to promote a wider understanding of the criminal law both by criminal justice agencies and by ordinary citizens, and promote meaningful advancements in the field. The successful bidder will work with the lead judge, and the Clerk's Office, and be responsible for liaising with third parties.
