# The All-America Digest
## Introduction
The All-America Digest (AA.Dig.) reports cases from across the nUSA judiciary. Created by the nUSA Courts Office, the All-America Digest aims to facilitate the understanding and study of the law of nUSA.
To further aid comprehension of cases and the opinions that they generate, the All-America Courts Digest also comprises the following features which may accompany each case:
***Case summaries*** at the beginning of each reported case are generated by advanced artificial intelligence. They summarise the opinion into one or two paragraphs.
***Background introductions*** may be added by the editors of the digest where the factual background or context of an opinion is of importance for its understanding.
***Syllabi*** may precede a long and complex opinion of law and will be drafted where possible by the authoring judge(s), or another eminent jurist. These will often be used where the questions of law presented cannot reasonably be summarised into a single paragraph in a case summary.
### Citing to the All-America Digest
Each edition of the All-America Reports and Commentaries is citable in the same easy manner :
`Volume AA.Dig. 000, 999-999 (Court Year)`
**Volume** : E.g. 1, 2, 3 etc
**000** : Page number of the first page of the opinion or judgment
**999** : Page number or range cited or referenced (only if applicable, not to refer to the opinion in general)
**Court** : (See below)
**Year** : Year the case was decided — 2023, 2001, 2027 etc.
> *In re Yada*, 1 AA.Dig. 4, 6 (U.S. 2023)
> *Artist v. Rubio*, 1 AA.Dig. 15, 17-18 (D. Colo. 2023)
> *Yada v. Gaviria*, 1 AA.Dig. 12 (Colo. Cty. Ct. 2023)
#### Table of Jurisdiction Abbreviations
Below are reproduced a list of common jurisdictions. For a fuller list or general rules, see the Bluebook.
| Jurisdiction| Abbreviation |
| -------- | -------- |
| U.S. Supreme Court | U.S. or nU.S.
(*See below*) |
| U.S. District Court for the
District of Colorado | D. Colo. |
| U.S. District Court for the
District of Columbia | D.D.C. |
| Colorado Court of Appeals | Colo. App. |
| Colorado (State) District Court | Colo. Dist. Ct. |
| Colorado County Court | Colo. Cty. Ct. |
##### Citing U.S. Supreme Court opinions to AA.Dig.
Cite to AA.Dig. in lieu of S. Ct. for the Supreme Court, and thus always cite to U.S. first if available, and do not, if citing to U.S., give AA.Dig. page numbers.
When citing to the U.S. Reports, cite as "nU.S." as multiple "United States Supreme Courts" employ their own version of the United States Reports. See for example --
> *Roe v. Doe*, 999 U.S. 121, 123, 111 AA.Dig. 22 (nU.S. 2023)
> *United States v. One Acre of Land*, 1 U.S. 123 (nU.S. 2023)
> *State of Franklin v. United States*, 5 AA.Dig. 123 (U.S. 2023)
