### Uptrennd Africa History From 2019 to 2020
The interactions, engagement, and unity among African Uptrenndians activated the creation of Africa branch of Uptrennd projecf after Jeff and Luke confirmed their support.
The branch was created on the 4th of December 2019 after the Core Team came to a conclusion of expanding the Uptrennd Horizon to African continent.
The community started up with Jeff, Luke, Steve, Dotun, Osato, Alberto, Victoria, Busola, and Samest. Who were the pioneers and took major decisions as it relates to the community. One of such was the name for the branch. There were 3 suggestions - United Africa, Uptrennd Africa, Uptrennd's United Africa, but what we have now had a majority vote and as such was selected.
The focus for the community to become a go-to place for Africans and a gateway to quick adoption of crypto currency.

### How has this helped the community members?
Our engagement has brought light to so many Africans. Many received first-class information as far as 'cryptology' is a concerned and we are able to teach the in-depth of decentralized finance: staking, liquidity, governance to mention by few. We also have the record of Africans that have no knowledge of crypto at the beginning but now can trade easily with centralized and decentralized exchanges.
Our contests have encouraged and Made members active on the platform, and this also commands more rewards in 1UP and other tokens.
Our games on telegram have built relationships, unity and love amongst members and our trivia increase the knowledge of our members in crypto and general knowledge which also command rewards. There is equal opportunities for all.
Where we are headed to for 2021!
1. To strengthen our training class on crypto trading, cryptology, and blockchain.
2. Support quality contents on our platform to encourage content creators
3. To create active contests that will promote crypto in Africa
4. To partner with more Africa projects and increase adoption of crypto/blockchain in our continent.
5. Looking for crypto enthusiast to work with the team: It's a volunteer role, you can DM if interested
6. To create a mobile hub for Seminar, presentation, and a place where Uptrennd Africa member can visit and interact, grow and learn about crypto physically.
