# Meeting with Vera from the Skills team on Women's networks ## 16th January Things that the Skill's team can offer: - Application mentoring - Access to the existing mentorship or dedicated resource from the groups, depending on who are their audiences. - Direct ways of communicating our training offers with these networks. E.g. advanced warning when certain deadline. - Discussion in what can be useful as training for these groups that will serve in the longer-term strategy of Turing skills. - Direct contact with the dissemination teams of the networks. We can have a yearly chat where we tell them what we are offering. - Launching open learning platform on AI UK, and they can have access to them. - - Guaranteed places is not possible, because is not fair to other groups. Access to these networks will be very beneficial to the Skills team as well, because it will help widen the pool of applicant to their courses. Longer term, working with BCS in what could be useful for their audience. DSG might not be apposite to undergraduates. Organise a meeting with BCS organiser and Skills team. Turing research fellowship: hoping to have an open recruitment round, where we could make an event around this with these network groups and provide application mentorship.
