# To The Moon...To The Flow 🚀🌕


## Project Description:

*To the Moon... To the Flow* is a performance art project, funded through a [grant proposal](https://www.trojandao.com/proposals/35) to the Trojan DAO.

Forum for public discussion:

Αrtist [Filippos Vasileiou](http://filipposvasileiou.com/home), having grown his hair for 7 years, will cut it off and send it to the the stratosphere on a helium weather balloon. Along with him, a group of performers will also offer a lock of their own hair. The project is collaborative, with an interdisciplinary team of contributors providing the skills for the various creative technical aspects of the launch.

**The launch is scheduled for September 1st 2022**.

## Details

> *"To the moon"* is a phrase used by traders. Those who invest in crypto, nfts, stocks etc. and they hope that the price will rise so that they can earn money. Most of the time without knowing or caring about a project nor the process, work and purpose. The phrase I like instead is "*To the flow"*... embracing what is around us and working with that, no matter how insignificant it may seem. The point is to follow what I love and go with the flow until I meet it or lose it. After all, it's the process that matters, the journey. - F.V.

The weather balloon is predicted to reach an altitude of 32500 meters (106600ft).

## Sponsoring will offer the opportunity for our DAO frens to fly their swag to near-space with us!

### Sponsorships will help to fund:
- Support some of the material costs and logistics of the performance, launch and retrieval of the weather balloon and documentation.

- Funds not used for the launch will be used for the creation of the *To The Moon...To The Flow* art installation, transporting and exhibiting the artwork.

- Your organisation's logo on the promotional material of the "*To The Moon...To The Flow*" project, video and social media.

## What will be the outcome of the project?
- A professional video of the performance and flight into near-space. To share on social media (Youtube, Twitter, Vimeo). Filmed from multiple cameras: a go-pro camera that will be onboard the weather balloon, a high-altitude drone following the launch, and land-based cameras.

- An art installation made by the artist Filippos Vasileiou from the material remains of the action. (Let's plan more on this soon, expect surprises!).

- NFT collection commemorating the flight and archive.
