--- ###### tags: `Gitcoin Graphic Novel` --- # Overview for Horacio ### RaidGuild: Raids and RIPS - This is all optional, but might be an exciting opportunity for you to consider. - RaidGuild is a group of freelancers that work in the Web3 space. To be come a RG member you need to do 3 things: - Complete the cohort apprenticeship (happening now so introduce yourself on the Discord server) - Complete a raid, which you have done with the comic already! - Complete a RIP - a RaidGuild Improvment Proposal (proposed below) - You will then be invited to buy shares into the organization and be exposed to lots of new opportunities for future work. - You should do these things now: - Get into the RaidGuild Discord server and introduce yourself to the group - Get the RG calendar and attend the meetings to learn more - Join the Season 4 cohort DAO so you can start learning the mechanics - Ask lots of questions in those channels to learn more about Web3, DAOs, and crypto - This will demonstrate to the guild that you can work well with others. We will champion you! - We also have an idea for how you can get started right away on a RIP called the *Origin Stories* project. The task is on a task board so its open for others, but I think you would be perfect for it. (insert links). #### Specs: - 1-5 portraits - 1-5 banner images - Maybe some additional art, if you want - No timeline, so you can do this right away or at your convenience. - Payment is not gauranteed, but I would advocate for you. It will be distributed through the RaidGuild Season 4 cohort, so you will need to negotiate with them. Details are on the RG Discord server. ### Gitcoin Comic #4 - The same team and similar specs as last time. - The project is **no longer associated with RaidGuild and is owned by Gitcoin** so the infrastructure is a little bit different. We would like to pay you in crypto for this work and can help guide you (although you can learn everything you need from joining RaidGuild). - You can join us in the creative writing if you want, or I can just give you directions on what to draw if you prefer to keep it simple. - We want to bring you into some new comunication channels for this project and will let you know when they are setup. - This could also lead to other work through Gitcoin, since there are some groups of artists that make things for Gitcoin on a regular basis. Are you interested in this? #### Specs: - ~13 pages, same format, with cover. - Same payment as last time. - Probably won't be additional images, just the book pages. - We will start in a couple weeks, once I can write the story! We currently haven't decided what the content will be. - We will have more time! Maybe a total of 8 weeks to make the art. ### Gitcoin Universe Guide - Here's the document I made alongside the comic we made together. It's about connecting the fantasy aspects of the comic with a wider converation about "public foods funding," which is based on the agenda of Gitcoin DAO. - This content will be formatted for publication as a hardcover book in the next few months! It's part of an ongoing series by Kevin Owocki. - We would like to include you in the planning conversations for this project and see if there's a way to integrate more of your art. This would involve weekly meetings to brainstorm and figure out what this means. - This could also lead to other work, depending on how we scope the project. Are you interested in thinking about this? - I am working with Kevin Owocki and his designer, Octavian. **This is not a comic book,** but we can be really experimental with it. I am not the only creative director so we will make collective decisions about what to do. #### Specs: - Converations that are paid - Figuring out how to insert more of your art in this book - Not sure about compensation or how long it will take - We already had the first meeting and it would be great to include you next week!
