--- ###### tags: `GitcoinDAO Metaverse Coordinators Group` --- # Comic/Auction > PGF Project Outline ## Overview Artist and visionaries might be considered public goods in themselves worth investing in, but their reach may be limited without a team of developers, marketers, and coordinators. These areas of concentration are beyond their skill set. We envision a set of overlapping work streams that share resources (personnel and others) to execute the interconnected primary deliverables: the comic series and the associated marketing/sales platform. The *Universe Guide* (not part of this proposal) will track the canonical changes to the lore and supplement the coherence of the open-source narrative. ![](https://i.imgur.com/CC0hMGR.jpg) ## Comic Team ### Roles - Creative Director (Travis) - Project Manager (plor) - Account Manager (DAOJones) - Artist ([Horacio Boriotti](https://horacioboriotti.artstation.com/)) - Letterer (TBD) - Publisher ([Morris Publishing](https://) or similar) ### Deliverables - 3 comics per year - 2 months of consultation/sprint/ideation on the idea - 2 months of production - For comic #4, the team will be dedicated to **standardizing the "agile imagination software" concept** to allow members to changed out in future iterations if desired. ### Budget (quarterly) **$36k Total**, broken down as: $20k Creative $6k Ops $5k Art $5k Production (including Dev and Design) --- ## Transmedia Auction Team *The Greatest LARP* and/or related enterprise ### Roles - Creative Director (Colton) - Project Manager (plor) - Account Manager (DAOJones) - Developer: specialized in NFTs, smart contracts, etc. - UX/UI Designer - Transmedia Contributors (how many TBD) ### Deliverables - NFTs iterating upon comic/UG ideas - Transmedia art initiatives - Creative think tank for identifying new transmedia opportunities and co-creating them with an open community (like the Metaverse Coordinators or similar) - Auction for handling the sales of the work (like *The Greatest LARP* or similar) ### Budget (quarterly) **$36k Total**, broken down as: $20k Creative $6k Ops $5k Dev $5k Design ## Total Ask $36k Comic + $36k Auction = $72k quarterly --- # Notes on Comic Client Coordination ### Overview - The comic production team will operate under the existing PGF/Library work stream. - The team will strategize a shortlist of DAOs for the ongoing comic series based on the orgs offering to the regen cryptoeconomic stack. - It is essential to consider sustainable economic mechanisms to ensure the longevity of the project and avoid becoming vampirific to Gitcoin. - All of the lore and mechanical leanrings will be integrated into the *Universe Guide*, which will be overseen by a seperate/autonomous work stream. ### Questions - What will be the next DAO featured in the comic series? - How will the team make the decision? - What is the nature of the relationship between the creative team and the selected DAO? - Can these core issues be dealt with in Comic #4 so future comics can iterate upon (or fork) a strong core foundation? ### Hypothesis - DAOs might be selected based on integration of their protocol to a larger rengerative stack. - The lore of the DAO might be expanded by the creative team beyond the scope of their own marketing strategy in order to create coherent relations to the larger web3-DAO ecosystem. - Incentive mechanism might be identified and elaborated to encourage the DAO to invest in the project, utilize/leverage the funds with their own protocol, help to strategize the development of the transmedia outlets, and condone the distribution of the work through their own local community. - Integrating these learnings into the *Universe Guide* will set a precedent for future DAO-to-DAO collaborations, so the lift will become progressively lighter/leaner. ### Core KPIs - adding mythological depth to existing and future campaigns - elaborating transmedia potentials (dendritic tangents) - extending a tether between internal creativity and external regen cryptoeconomics. - The UG serves as a vetting mechanism for projects and contributors. It provides proof of work for new and unknown contributors. Anyone can submit content for consideration. - - The 3 most important KPIs for evaluating the resiliency of new projects and contributors: - sustain the project (the artists or team) - sustain the work stream - generate value for public goods ### Provisional Roadmap #### Comic #4: RaidGuild and the Phantasmagoric Moloch part 2 - Elaborate a reboot of *The Greatest LARP* campaign, [similar to this process](https://hackmd.io/@TravisWyche/ry5WIippK). - Finish the heroic cycle initiated in part 1 to reach narrative catharsis. - Elaborate the characters introduced to expand upon web3 freelancer roles. - Focus on open-source lore scaling from the individual to the collective. - Go deeper into the psychological complexities of Moloch! - Illustrate more principles of the metaverse-as-UI concept by elaborating the connection between comics 1&2, 3, and future editions and lay the ground work for a crypto-native metaverse theory. - Lay additional ground work on public goods lore! #### Comic #5 (speculative): Yearn Yield Farmers and the Blight of Moloch! - Retro and reconsider if a larger/autonomous work stream is necessary, or to abandon this idea, [based on this framework.](https://hackmd.io/@TravisWyche/Proposal-MetaverseCoordinatorsWS-Season13) - Begin a new tradition of implementing the super powers of the protocol being developed in the comic narrative. - The funding for the comic project will be staked using the Yearn.finance stack to move towards a regenerative mechanism for the project. - Explore yield farming: educate on DeFi fundamentals as a foundational building block for regenerative finance - Expand upon the pseudo-agricultural meme by exploring the correlations with physical agriculture.
