--- ###### tags: `GitcoinDAO Metaverse Coordinators Group` --- # [Proposal] - Metaverse Coordinators Workstream - Season 13 ### Overview Gitcoin’s metaverse projects have proven to be successful ventures for *greenpilling* crypto natives and raising funds for public goods ($3mm from Moonshot Bots, $500k from the Greatest LARP). The Moonshot Collective rapid prototyping workstream provided a launchpad for these initiatives and funded projects up to this point. When the Greatest LARP concluded, the Moonshot Collective agreed that the comics, Universe Guide, and NFT auctions were no longer “rapid prototypes” and they would benefit from having their own ecosystems in which to thrive. Becoming our own workstream allows us to continue developing on our past successes and expand community contributions. We are requesting 21K GTC in season 13 (Q1) to fund this project. ### Abstract We are responding to [the call that Kevin broadcast in October.](https://gov.gitcoin.co/t/calling-all-gitcoindao-metaverse-coordinators/8902) The first function of the workstream will be the quarterly release of a new Gitcoin Comic (#4) and NFT fundraiser produced by a small team of core contributors. Scale and community involvement will be accomplished through a bottoms-up approach. The *Universe Guide* will provide a framework for community contributors to be able to propose projects to build out the lore for future comics and related transmedia campaigns. We can diversify our audience and enrich the lore by inviting the community to help us elaborate our solarpunk vision. Additional projects will be solicited, vetted, and funded through an innovative sub-DAO architecture that will encourage experimentation and maintain the creative autonomy of the creative contributors while ensuring culture alignment with Gitcoin DAO. ### Priorities 1. Secure funding streams for the creation of radical new art. Position creative producers as high-value generators, *visionaries and shamans that can peer behind the apocalyptic veil.* 2. Align/support/promote these creations explicitly to the core principles of GitocoinDAO, ie: in service to public goods funding. 3. Collaborate with and supplement other Gitcoin work streams.
