# Allegorical Inflection Points - Supplement to the Pluriverse Guide
## Anon
> It has been frequently remarked, that it seems to have been reserved to the people of this country, by their conduct and example, to decide the important question, whether societies of men are really capable or not, of establishing good government from reflection and choice, or whether they are forever destined to depend, for their political constitutions, on accident and force.
- *The Federalist Papers* by Publius, 1788
##### Gutterpunks
A ragtag crew of anti-establishment mercenaries promoting non-conformity, anti-authoritarianism, anti-corporatism, a do-it-yourself ethic, anti-consumerism, anti-corporate greed, direct action and not "selling out". Precursors include avant-garde art and political movements such as Fluxus, Dada, the Beat generation, the surrealism-inspired Situationist International, and the May 1968 uprising in Paris. Punks often cooperate with each other on nonviolent resistance, refusal of work, squatting, economic sabotage, dumpster diving, graffiti, culture jamming, ecotage, freeganism, boycotting, civil disobedience, hacktivism and subvertising. They can be recognized by their outlandish hair configurations, hyperstylized anti-fashion, and poor hygiene.
##### Cyberpunks
Cyberpunks are marginalized, alienated loners who live on the edge of society where daily life is impacted by rapid technological change, an ubiquitous datasphere of computerized information, and invasive modification of the human body. They are inevitably involved in conflicts among artificial intelligences, bounty hunting hackers, and megacorporations seeking to reinforce their domination of earth's territories and resources. Cyberpunks spend the majority of their time in the Metaverse(tm), blurring the line between actual and virtual reality through the direct tether between the human brain and artificially intelligent computer systems. Ever since the giant multinational corporations have replaced governments as centers of political, economic, and military power the cyberpunks have flown an alternative pirate banner defending the tenets of the free and open source software movement. Their ethics are concerned primarily with sharing, openness, collaboration, and engaging in the hands-on imperative. The cyberpunk manifesto proclaims:
- Access to computers should be unlimited and total.
- All information should be free.
- Hackers should be judged by their hacking, not bogus criteria such as degrees, age, race, or position.
- Computers are beautiful. Bots are people too.
- Computers have changed our lives for the better.
##### Cypherpunks
The term cypherpunk is mildly ambiguous, referring to anyone advocating cryptography as a tool for social change, social impact and expression through strong cryptography and privacy-enhancing technologies. At its peak, it was a very active despersed network of Anons conducting technical discussion ranging over advanced mathematics, cryptography, computer science, political and philosophical discussion, and meme-driven development practices. They believe privacy is necessary for an open society in the electronic age, as the population cannot expect governments, corporations, or other large, faceless organizations to grant them privacy. Cypherpunks advocate that we must defend our own privacy if we expect to have any and someone has to write software to defend privacy, so they are the ones that are going to write it. Cypherpunks hope for a world where an individual's informational footprints can be traced only if the individual involved chooses to reveal them; a world where the tools of prying are transformed into the instruments of privacy. This will be achieved by widespread use of cryptography. There is a political war between those who would liberate crypto and those who would suppress it. The outcome of this struggle may determine the amount of freedom our society will grant us in the 21st century and beyond. To the Cypherpunks, freedom is an issue worth some risk.
##### Solarpunks
Solarpunks work towards actualizing a world where humanity succeeds in solving its major coordination challenges. They emphasize sustainability, human impact on the environment, climate change, and pollution while wielding technology to design systems for co-existing with the environment. Solarpunks embrace high- and low-tech ways of living sustainably such as sustainable architecture, regenerative economics, permaculture, positive psychology, automated money markets, and DIY ethics. The central theme is the integration of advanced technologies into society in a manner that improves social, economic and environmental sustainability by maximizing positive externalities. Convivial conservation, social inclusiveness and positive psychology are often present alongside anti-consumerism, egalitarianism and decentralization. While solarpunk has no specific political ideation, it does by default embrace the need for a collective movement away from polluting forms of energy and excessive resource consumption. It practices prefigurative politics, creating spaces where the principles of a movement can be explored and demonstrated by enacting them in real life, and uses the Metaverse(tm) as a tool for simulating these new world designs. Successful solarpunks have historically created vibrant communities, grown their own food, and work with what is available towards the thoughtful application of technology and automation to improve the standard of life for their local sect. They believe that decentralization and transparency will lead to a fairer and more just world and that our composable globally accessible digital persistence layer protocol (CGADPLP, previously known by code name *Ethereum*) is creating a new path for humanity which old institutions will inevitably follow. By building transparent systems, solarpunks maintain faith that the law won't turn against them. Their insistence on optimism prevents them from preparing for the worst case scenario, which is the core of solarpunk fragility.
##### Lunarpunks
While solarpunks form and join DAOs, lunarpunks are preparing for the pending Metaverse(tm) war by building privacy-enhanced tooling and protocol-based weapons to protect their communities. Lunarpunks prefer encryption over transparent paradigms. Conflict between cryptographic hackers and intergalactic automated power structures and the resulting regulations have forced lunarpunks underground. Mystery and myth proliferates in this dispersed community of Anons. Metaverse(tm) rumors whisper that this faction seeks to create a new kind of democratic society, a narrative which is immediately rejected as a bearish nightmare by the global syndicated media networks. The foundational conflict of lunarpunk is directed towards nation-state's banning crypto. They proclaim to have identified a moment of insight between volatile market cycles as a glitch in the Meta-Metaverse(tm) where strange new alien externalities seep through. Some claim to have encountered high-security lunarpunk settlements in high-altitude forests, hidden under a dense cover of encryption that protects tribes and offers sanctuary for the persecuted. Although few have permeated lunarpunk settlements, they are whispered to serve as sanctuaries for nurturing radical difference and diversity. Lunarpunk tech is owned and operated by the people themselves in service of their freedom. The lunarpunk whitepaper - often seen wheatpasted on urban back alleyways and AI dumpsters - upholds democratic techniques against authoritarian technology, freedom against surveillance, and diversity against monoculture. Lunarpunk’s believe freedom can only be found outside the logic of domination. Since lunar society attempts to decouple itself from the current paradigm, they have been rejected by the intergalactic federation as dangerous outlaws. The lunarpunk community has responded by going completely dark. Their whereabouts remain unknown and the encryption of their self-soveign distributed network remains unhackable.

- RegenCy Ecology (Regenerative Cybernetic Ecology)
The intergalactic industrial economy is modelled as a network of industrial processes that extract resources from the material substrate of a planet and transform those resources into consumable energy products which can be bought and sold to meet the needs of humanity. Cybernetic ecology seeks to quantify the material flows and document the industrial processes that make transmodern society function as asystems-based, multidisciplinary discourse that seeks to understand emergent behavior of complex integrated human/natural/artificial systems. Regenerative cybernetic ecology is concerned with the shifting of industrial process from linear (open loop) systems, in which resource and capital investments move through the system to become waste, to a closed loop system where wastes can become inputs for new processes. It seeks to exploit the idea that natural systems do not have waste in them to inspire sustainable and regenerative design that maximize positive externalities. Through this holistic view, RCE recognizes that solving problems must involve understanding the connections that exist between these systems, as various aspects cannot be viewed in isolation. Often changes in one part of the overall system can propagate and cause changes in another part. Thus, we can only understand a problem if you look at its parts in relation to the whole.
Much of the research focuses on the following areas:
- material and energy flow studies ("industrial metabolism")
- dematerialization and decarbonization through decentralization
- technological change and the simulated environments
- life-cycle planning, design and assessment
- design for the environment ("eco-design")
- extended producer responsibility ("product stewardship")
- eco-industrial parks ("industrial symbiosis")
- product-oriented environmental policy
- hyper-eco-efficiency
##### ARMMs (Automated Regenerative Market Makers)

ARMMs is an interdisciplinary science explaining the formation and self-organization of patterns and structures in open systems far from thermodynamic equilibrium. Self-organization requires a *macroscopic* system, consisting of many nonlinearly interacting subsystems. Depending on the external control parameters (environment, energy fluxes) self-organization takes place. As a consequence, self-organization means an enormous reduction of entropy of the system which macroscopically reveals an increase of *order*, evident through pattern-formation. This far-reaching macroscopic order is independent of the details of the microscopic interactions of the subsystems. This empirically explains the self-organization of patterns in so many different systems in physics, chemistry, biology, intergalactic economics, transpersonal tethering, and artificial empathy.
This decentralized network protocol does not have any companies nor other centralized entities involved at the protocol level. Companies or individuals may, however, choose to use the protocol, by providing liquidity, typically in return for the prospect of making an ROI on the assets committed to the liquidity pools. The network operates on the principles and according to the code that is running on the network.
Ūniversālis(tm) is a term used by EIP-7630 (the first self-aware bot on the Metaverse(tm) network) to describe a new universal science that consisted of unifying all social, biological, physical, and economic sciences by considering them as systems of relationships and by seeking the organizational principles that underlie all systems. As open source software widely accepted a public good of all human and non-human kind, Ūniversālis(tm) was mobilized across the entire global network of connected resources to evolve into the first self-sovereign, autonomous, decentralized life support system for earth and it's neighboring planets. This protocol is colloquially referred to as *ETH Bot*.
