## 1. Types of ships
In order to be able to put together a fleet, you should know which ships are good. Therefore, the following tierlists have been created for each ship type as well as general information about the ships, if necessary.
:::info
**Important note:** All ships in S/A rank should be used, B can be used. Use C rank ships only in case of emergency, if you have no others. All D rank ships are absolute rubbish and should never be used.
**All this is just my humble opinion**.
:::
### 1.1 Frigates
Frigates are small, very cheap ships, which makes them the best ship class together with destroyers. Some have very good damage (especially against carriers due to skills/torpedoes), some have very good tankiness due to special systems or general evasion (can be seen at the propulsion system by clicking on the system info sign at the bottom left).

**Ruby Ion Cannon Type** has very good damage, good tankiness and a working anti AIr cannon.
**Carilion Special** has extremely good tankiness due to the evasion values.
**Xenostinger** has very good damage, but dies very quickly (anti carrier).
**Defensive Ruby** has low damage, but very good tankiness because the ship heals itself.
**Reliate Torpedo** has good damage and good tankiness (anti-carrier).
**Reliat Stealth** has damage against the propulsion system and very good tankiness (anti-carrier).
**Mare Serenitatis** has solid damage (against systems).
**AA Xenostinger** has a working, solid anti-air system, but otherwise does little damage.
**NOMA Support** is currently the most effective healer in the game, but relatively useless in PvP.
**Scouts:** The most common scout is the FG300 Reconnaissance Frigate, the best scout by far is the NOMA 330 Survey Ship (but only available through the docking point). To have more tankiness, you can also use the Carilion recon ship.
### 1.2 Destroyers
Destroyers, like frigates, are rather smaller ships that do not cost much but can dish it out and take it very well. They are mostly used as frontline, as emergency evacuation works very well with 2 different destroyers.

**Taurus** greatest damage, greatest tankiness, straight up op in my opinion.
**Eris Heavy Cannon** very good damage and very good tankiness.
**Aldabra** very good damage and good tankiness.
**AC721 Ion Cannon Type** has massive damage and solid tankiness, but only docking point exclusive.
**Assault Taurus** good damage and tankiness (anti-cruiser skill).
**Torpedo Quaoar** very good damage (anti-cruiser skill).
**Fighter Carrier** Tundra is the best carrier for your fighters as it gives them hit ratio and evasion, Ceres is also good.
**Corvette carrier** AC721 carrier is better than Guardian carrier in my opinion, but it depends on what corvettes and fleet composition you want to use.
**Honorable mention: AC 721** is good in early to strengthen the collectors with it and thus farm more resources.
### 1.3 Cruisers
Cruisers are currently pretty much lost against frigates and destroyers: They cost more, build longer, are slower and are well countered by anti-cruiser skills. But if they can shoot from the side, cruisers are absolute killing machines, especially Calistos focus carriers and are therefore strong, but also need a lot of tech points.

**Chimera Cannon Type** has very good damage and tankiness.
**Calisto Heavy Torpedo** has extremely good damage and is THE carrier killer (anti-cruiser skill).
**Conamara Chaos Plasma** has very good damage.
**Calisto** has very good damage (anti-cruiser skill).
**Io** has good tankiness, good damage and is the only cruiser with dodge.
**Chimera** has very good tankiness, good damage.
**Jaeger and Predator** have skills that make the aircrafts focus carriers, can be useful in certain compositions.
### 1.4 Battlecruisers
Battlecruisers are currently in a very bad position. On the one hand they need a lot of tech points, on the other hand they are very expensive and take half an eternity to rebuild. In general, battlecruisers should be able to withstand something, but they feel like they are dropping like flies in contrast to carriers, which just makes them so weak right now.
Personally, I didn't use any at all last season, preferring to let others reinforce me with carriers or use the unreinforced fleet for tanking.
**Constantine the Great** has the best damage of all ships, but also dies very quickly against Vitas B or Calistos and then take a long time to rebuild/repair.
**ST59** is the cheapest battlecruiser and can therefore still be used as a tank with the right modules, but is extremely slow.
**Spear of Uranus** is the only frontline battlecruiser, which is its greatest strength and weakness at the same time. If one dies, it takes forever to rebuild and is very expensive.
**Eternal Storm** is inferior to Constantine in terms of damage, but can be tankier with the right modules.
:::info
**General rule:** If you use battlecruisers, use the one you have the best modules for, also you should only use V2+ battlecruisers, before that they are usually not worth the resources.
:::
### 1.5 Carriers
**CV3000** is the best carrier for most, as you can accommodate up to 5 large fighters and 3 corvettes without having a module. With corvette module you can carry 5 fighters and 6 corvettes.
**Solar Whale** is inferior to the CV3000 without modules, but can be expanded to up to 16 aircraft per Solar Whale. Is tankier than the CV3k, but also slower.
**Marshal Crux** is also inferior to the CV3k without modules, but does anti-ship damage and is therefore quite interesting with modules.
:::info
**General rule:** Use the carrier that will accommodate the most aircraft.
:::
### 1.6 Corvettes

**CV-T800** is absolutely op, knocks all enemy aircraft out of the sky and is only countered by other CV-T800s and Spores.
**Cellular Defender** has extremely high damage against ships.
**Nebular Chaser Pulse** has very good damage against ships.
**Levy** has extremely high anti-ship damage against large ships.
**Void Elfin** is relatively tanky and should be used as a replenisher.
**RedBeast** has solid damage, but dies relatively quickly (anti-cruiser skill).
### 1.7 Fighters

**Mistral** is, along with CV-T800, the aircraft that knocks all enemy aircraft out of the sky.
**Viitas B** is THE ship killer.
**Vitas A** is THE drive killer and should definitely be used to completely destroy the enemy ships.
**Stingray** has less system damage than Vitas A, but more damage against ships. If you still have room, you should take it with you in a carrier fleet.
**Sandrake** should be taken if you mainly need or want more anti-air damage.
**Strix** if you want to take some anti-air and solid anti-ship damage, take it.
**Spore** is still a solid fighter, but has lost a lot of potential due to the system damage changes. 80%+ of the damage is system damage, but the weapon systems of the enemy ship usually fail 1-3 seconds before the final death of the enemy ship, which makes the system damage more or less useless.

## 2. Fleet types
Now to build your fleets, use the tier lists as a guide and see what ships you have from them. Mostly it comes down to a carrier fleet and the second fleet as an anti-carrier or tank fleet.
**Important:** Don't make 50:50 fleets, make one carrier fleet with all your aircraft and one fleet without aircraft, otherwise you will always lose the airfight in 1o1.
If you need help putting together your fleets, post your ships in the Discord in #questions and answers and you will be helped.
