### Intent 3
Is my contents cover new for old?
#### Alternative User Inputs
1. Do you give me new for old?
2. Will you give me a new item under my contents cover policy
3. Will you void my policy if I'm not there?
#### Answer
Yes, except for clothing and linen.
Your policy will not cover wear and tear to contents not caused by an insured event. For example, the policy does not cover a carpet that has worn through due to use, but we would replace it new for old if your house was flooded, whatever the condition of the carpet.

### Intent 4
Will you insure my bicycle?
#### Alternative User Inputs
1. Can you insure my bike
2. Do you insure bicycles
#### Answer
Yes, our contents insurance will give you cover in respect of the insured perils (such as fire, theft, and malicious damage) for a bicycle at home. Note that there is a limit of £2000 for theft of contents from outbuildings and a limit of £500 for loss or damage occurring in the garden.
If you need more cover and if you wish to insure the bicycle away from home, and your bicycle is worth less than £1000, you will need to add Unspecified Personal Possessions cover to your policy.
Note that loss of any bicycle left in a public space will not be covered unless it is locked to a fixed point.
If your bike is worth between £1000 and £2500 you will need to add it as a Specified Personal Possession. To do this, please call our Customer Contact Centre on 03457 46 46 46.
