# SM Agency ## A recruitment agency for developers --- # Process - Stage 1 - Design * After getting the brief, we spent a couple of days reading through the material on the spike, then had a meeting to discuss our responses and come up with some initial ideas. * We decided to work on a recruitment agency website for developers. * We looked at some pre-existing websites for inspiration and decided on a 4-page layout which would cover all of the content required. * Wireframes: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1nWWRpcBRzNzjSdiTBdWVikwUVTyARt6nFb3xvTxdcZ0/edit#slide=id.p --- # Process - Stage 2 - Building * Muhammad built the HTML framework for the webpages, while Simon worked on design and CSS. * We initially had quite specific roles and were more rigid with our planning, but once the basic site was ready, we have been able to work more fluidly on adding additional features. --- # Process - Stage 3 - Finalising the Project * Once we had the entire website completed, we kept going back to add finishing touches to the webiste such as Linkedin Icon to the Meet the Team, updating Footer, contact form etc. --- # Challenges * We had one major merge conflict issue - Simon had deleted some CSS files which were not being used on the main site but Muhammad was still working on one of them and tried to merge onto one of these files. The major lesson was to communicate clearly and confirm before making big changes! * CSS classes and keeping a consistent approach - show code --- # Issue * We discovered an issue with the font display where it appeared differently on Mac and Windows, despite both of us using Google Chrome.
