# Temporium Rivals Rulebook
The tournament administrators reserve the right to amend the rules at any time without notice and to enforce them in a way they deem appropriate.
## What is Temporium Rivals?
Temporium Rivals is a 3v3 team tournament hosted by Temporium featuring a swiss phase and a top cut. The prize pool is currently set at 2,000,000 pansun.
## 1. Competitive Integrity
Any participant found violating the competitive integrity of this event will be disqualified and banned from any future Temporium events.
#### 1.1. Bug Abuse
Participants are expected not to abuse in-game bugs in order to give themselves an advantage.
#### 1.2. Punctuality
Participants are expected to organize and start their matches within 5 minutes of a new round starting.
#### 1.3. Honesty
Participants are expected to be open and honest with the tournament administrators.
#### 1.4. Respect
Participants are expected to treat other participants and the tournament administrators with the utmost respect.
#### 1.5. Gambling
It is strictly prohibited for the organizer or participants to bet on any outcome regarding this event.
#### 1.6. Bribery
Any attempt to persuade another player to alter a result is strictly prohibited.
#### 1.7. Cheating
Participants found to be using any form of cheats will be disqualified and banned from all future events hosted by Temporium.
## 2. Platform & Registration
#### 2.1. Battlefy
A Battlefy account is required to participate in this event.
#### 2.2 Teams
You will need to create or join a team on Battlefy in order to register. A guide can be found [here](https://blog.battlefy.com/team-up-on-battlefy-6699b6ebecf1#:~:text=There%20are%20two%20ways%3A%20you,Come%20check%20it%20out!).
##### 2.2.1 Team Size
Your registered team on Battlefy must have exactly 3 players.
##### 2.2.1 Team Captain
Your team captain will be the point of contact for Tournament Organizers.
#### 2.3. Discord
Participants are required to be in the [Temporium Discord Server](https://discord.gg/nc4Yu68), so that we can communicate effectively and ensure the event runs smoothly.
#### 2.4. Form
Once registration opens we will provide a form to each team captain that must be completed at least two hours before the tournament starts. The form should take roughly 7 minutes to complete and will require team, player, and Temtem data.
You must register on Battlefy to receive this form.
##### 2.4.1 Player Value
You must assign a letter value to each player on your team. You must have a Player A, Player B, and Player C. These values can be assigned via the mandatory form.

## 3. In-game Teams
#### 3.1. Visibility
The data your team captain submits through our registration form will be shared only with tournament staff.
#### 3.2. Locks
You are not permitted to change SVs, TVs, Gear items, Techniques, or Traits for the duration of the tournament.
#### 3.3. Unregistered Temtem
Unregistered Temtem are Temtem that are used without being submitted during registration.
##### 3.3.1 What to do
If you suspect your opponent could be using an unregistered Temtem, please take a screenshot during the pick/ban phase, abandon the match, and report the unregistered Temtem to an organizer via Battlefy or Discord.
##### 3.3.2 Punishment
Any participant found using an unregistered Temtem will be disqualified.
## 4. Swiss Stage
#### 4.1. Swiss Rounds

#### 4.2. Progression
Depending on how many participants register for the tournament, either 8 or 16 participants will progress to the top cut.
#### 4.3. Match Format
Each round of Swiss is Best of 1 with the following match-ups:
A vs. A
B vs. B
C vs. C
#### 4.4. Tiebreaker
During the Swiss phase, we will use the HCT tie-breaker.
## 5. Top Cut
#### 5.1. Top Cut Size
The size of the Top Cut depends on the number of registered participants, it is as follows:

#### 5.2. Match Format
All bracket matches will be best of 3 between teams with rotating match-ups. The final match will be best of 5.
Best of 3 rounds will have the following match-ups held concurrently:
A vs. A
B vs. B
C vs. C
A vs. B
B vs. C
C vs. A
A vs. C
B vs. A
C vs. B
The final set of matches will be a Best of 5 with matches held consecutively. A losing player will immediately be eliminated, and each team may select any remaining member for each match.
## 6. Matches
#### 6.1. Ties
If a tie occurs, please provide a screenshot via support, however the game will almost always correctly choose the winner. If both players provide a loss screenshot, then the game will be a tie and will need to be replayed.
#### 6.2. Host
Match hosting rules vary between the stages.
##### 6.2.1. Swiss Stage
Use the /coinflip command in the Battlefy Match Lobby. The winner of the coinflip can decide who hosts which match. Player B on the losing team will choose the host for their match, while Players A and C on the winning team may choose the hosts for their own matches.
##### 6.2.2. Top Cut
The higher seeded team may decide who hosts the first match. For subsequent matches, the loser of the previous match will choose the host.
#### 6.3. Screenshots
Take screenshots of your victory screens in-case of disputes.
#### 6.4. Match Timer
Matches may last a maximum of 40 minutes. We will determine the winner based on most remaining temtem. If participantd have an equal amount of temtem each, then it will be based on HP total between teams.
## 7. Game
#### 7.1. Game Version
You must be using the latest version of Temtem.
#### 7.2. Settings
You can use any in-game settings you desire.
#### 7.3. Overlays
Any form of information or in-game overlays - provided they don't break Temtem TOS - are permitted.
## 8. Communication
#### 8.1. Support
Any questions or support can be achieved via the ticket system in our [Discord Server](https://discord.gg/nc4Yu68).
#### 8.2. Match Organization
It is preferred that participants organize their games via the Battlefy platform.
## 9. Streaming
#### 9.1. Personal Streams
Every player is allowed to stream and/or post their games online provided they mention Temporium.
#### 9.2. Top Cut
If you reach the top cut it is a requirement that you coordinate with the tournament administrators so that we may broadcast your game.
#### 9.3. Tournament Broadcast
All broadcasted games will be streamed live on our [Twitch channel](https://twitch.tv/temporiumgg).
#### 9.4. Broadcast Requirements
If we choose to broadcast your game, you are required to cooperate with the tournament administrators. The quarterfinals, semifinals, third-placed playoff and grand final should not proceed without the approval of the tournament administrators, as these games will definitely be broadcasted.
## 10 Prize Distribution
There is a total prize pool of 2 million Pansuns.

There is no entry fee for this event.
