# FM Base Cup Rulebook The tournament administrators reserve the right to amend the rules at any time without notice and to enforce them in a way they deem appropriate. ## 1. Competitive Integrity Any participant found violating the competitive integrity of this event will be disqualified and banned from any future FM Base events. #### 1.1. Bug Abuse Participants are required not to intentionally abuse in-game bugs in order to give themselves an advantage. #### 1.2. Punctuality Participants are expected to organize and start their matches within 3 minutes of a new round starting. #### 1.3. Honesty Participants are expected to be open and honest with the tournament administrators. #### 1.4. Respect Participants are expected to treat other participants and the tournament administrators with the utmost respect. #### 1.5. Gambling It is strictly prohibited for the organizer or participants to bet on any outcome regarding FM Base events. #### 1.6. Bribery Any attempt to persuade another player to alter a result is strictly prohibited. #### 1.7. Cheating Participants found to be using any form of cheats will be disqualified and banned from all future events hosted by FM Base. ## 2. Platform & Registration #### 2.1. Toornament A [Toornament](https://www.toornament.com/) account is required to participate. You can sign-up for an account during tournament registration. #### 2.2. Discord Participants are required to be in the [FM Base Discord Server](https://discord.gg/uYsNfR2), so that we can communicate effectively and ensure the event runs smoothly. ## 3. Format #### 3.1. Single Elimination This tournament will be entirely single-elimination. #### 3.2. Participant Cap The participant cap is 32. #### 3.3. Round Format All rounds except the final will be best of 3. The final will be best of 5. #### 3.4. Third Place Playoff There will be a third place playoff. ## 4. Tournament Setup #### 4.1. Step 1: Download Save File for Online Game You can download the save file you need to participate [here](https://fm-base.co.uk). #### 4.2. Step 2: Where to place the Save File Place the downloaded save file in this location: `C:\Users\User\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\games`. #### 4.3. Step 3: Loading the Save File & Going Online Load Football Manager 2021, and follow the steps in this [video](https://youtu.be/tJL2bsP1HJo). ## 5. Matches #### 5.1. Host The higher seed decides who hosts the match. For games two and three, loser of the previous game decides who hosts. #### 5.2. Screenshots Take screenshots of your victory screens in-case of disputes. ## 6. Communication #### 6.1. Support Any questions or support can be achieved via the ticket system in our [Discord Server](https://discord.gg/uYsNfR2). #### 6.2. Match Organization It is preferred that participants organize their games via the Toornament platform. ## 7. Streaming #### 7.1. Personal Streams Every player is allowed to stream and/or post their games online provided they provide a link to FM Base. #### 7.2. Broadcast We will broadcast the quarterfinals, the semifinals and the final on the [FMBase Twitch Channel](https://www.twitch.tv/fmbase). The participants must ensure they are in contact with a Tournament Administrator in order to ensure the broadcast runs smoothly.
