## Introduction

**What is Tangent Finance?**
Tangent is the first DEX on Hedera to be deployed leveraging application specific L2 infrastructure to kickstart permissionless trading on the Hedera Network. Tangent’s will deploy an unique L2 scaling infrastructure that allows all its users to run their own L2 nodes increasing both the decentralization and overall capabilities of Tangent.

**Why Hedera?**
The Hedera hashgraph implementation has proven itself as a resilient, secured, decentralized, novel and robust network. This innovative hashgraph protocol is about to be ready to kickstart the deployment of Defi platforms and ride the massive crypto-wave, as a plus side it already has the capabilities for L2 scaling solution on top of its L1 solid infrastructure.

**What does Tangent Finance bring to the table?**
The Tangent dapp is bringing some novel introductions to the Defi landscape in regards to Dex deployment like:

- Apex Pools: This is an evolution of the CLOB and AMM-style price discovery mechanisms.
- Inflection Pools: This kind of pool extends the capabilities of Apex pools by focusing purely on intra synthetic asset trading.

## Tangent Dapp Users Guide

How to Connect Wallet
First step is going to the Tangent Finance Dapp.

In the landing page hit the “Connect Wallet” button at the top right of the UI as shown in the below image

After that a prompt will pop up asking you to chose the wallet to connect to the Dapp. In this guide we will use Hashpack.
After hitting the desired wallet a new prompt access to such wallet will appear, then put your password, hit the wallet account checkbox and hit the approve button.
Then, all done, your wallet is connected to Tangent Dex, and it is shown in the top right of the UI.

How to Perform a Swap

First go the Swap tab if the Tangent Dex. Chose from the “Select Token” drop downs the tokens pair you want to Swap. In this guide we will Swap some HBAR for Ferret as shown in the image above.

Before performing the Swap you need to asociated the non-native token to your wallet (Ferret in this case). This step is a one-time transaction, and you dont need to do it if it is already associated. Hit the “Associate Token” button and approve the transaction in your wallet.
After transaction confirmation you are ready to Swap.

First select the Provider Fee in the Swap UI box, and then type the amount of tokens you want to swap and the Dapp will calculate how much will you get as shown in the picture below. When you are ready, hit the “Swap” button.
Once the transaction is confirmed, your bought tokens will be shown in your wallet (Ferret for this guide).

## How to Add Liquidity

In order to add liquidity to a pool you need to navigate to the **“Pools”** tab of the Dex. From that window you can either select the desired pool from the list and hit the **“+”** button or hit the **“Add Liquidity”** button at the top right.

For this guide we chose the simplest way, and the Ferret/HBAR pool, as show in the picture below
When you land in the **“Add Liquidity”** box, you need to provide the equivalent amount, 50% - 50% of both assets (HBAR and Ferret in this guide) and select the provider fee % as shown in the picture below. After that, you need to hit the **“Setup Wallet”** button in order to update your wallet account. This step is needed for receiving the LP tokens representing your share of the pool and it is a one-time transaction.
Hit the **“Update Account”** button and approve the transaction in your wallet, after that, you are ready to provide liquidity.
Once your wallet account is updated, hit the **“Add Liquidity”** button to begin the liquidity provision process.
A review window will pop up showing basic information about the liquidity you re about to provide, there you can see how much are you going to deposit from both assets, your share of the pool in %, the network fee, etc...Review the information and hit the **“Add Liquidity”** button, then approve the transaction in your wallet.
After transaction confirmation, you will receive in your wallet the LP tokens representing the liquidity you have just provided, and you can check it in the Dex as well by navigating to the **“Pools”** tab and hitting the **“My Liquidity”** button in the top right of the UI as show in the picture below.

## How to Remove Liquidity
In order to remove liquidity from a pool you first need to navigate to the “Pools” tab, and then hit the “My Liquidity” button at the top right of the UI. In the newly opened window you can see pools or pool where you have provided liquidity to, then choose the one you want to remove liquidity from and hit the drop down arrow at the far right as shown in the picture below.
Then hit the **“Withdraw Liquidity”** button in the new menu displayed. For this guide we will use the liquidity provision we did on the Ferret/HBAR pool.
In the new box you can see how much you have added in that pool of both assets, and you need to choose how much you want to withdraw, you can do it by using the slide bar or choosing the preselected percents. After that the box will show you how much you will remove based on your selection. For this guide we will remove the 50% as shown in the picture below. Once you are ready, just hit the **“Order Withdraw”** button.
Then a new confirmation box will appear. It has info such as: The amount of tokens you will receive from both assets, how much you will burn from your LP and the fee involved in the burning action. Review the info, hit the **“Order Withdraw”** button and confirm the network transaction in your wallet.
You are done after the transaction is confirmed on the network, and you will receive the tokens in your wallet in short.
## $TNGNT Token
Our native token $TNGNT, is the fuel that runs, and the oil that lubricates the Tangent engine — Its utility is vast, and we detail some of these uses below:

- **Staking** $TNGNT natively on our platform allows users to receive $TNGNT rewards from our buyback program — it also allows users to gain various discounts on their trading fees based on the amount the user has staked.

- **Boosting** allows users to earn rewards for providing liquidity, users may also vote-lock their $TNGNT to participate in the governance of the platform through the Tangent DAO — at the same time boosting their LP rewards for specific pools.

- **Gauges** define the weight given to a liquidity pool for the purposes of reward emissions — every pool on the Tangent platform has a gauge, and each gauge is voted on by users through locking their $TNGNT to vote. This voting process allows users to determine which pools yield the highest rewards.

- **Nodes** can be run by users with a large enough $TNGNT stake, and as you might expect — will reward node operators with $TNGNT for distributing and operating the Tangent L2 network.

- **Governance** defines what Tangent is today, and what it will become tomorrow. Through vote-locking their $TNGNT tokens, users may use their voting power to determine any number of variables regarding the operation of the protocol, through DAO proposals.

## Tokenomics
The max supply of the TNGNT token will be 100,000,000 with a total initial unlock of 2,500,000 (2.5%)
