Overall Organization
The Mizuno clan is divided into three general echelons: The nobility, the leadership, and the warriors. The Nobility engage in the management of the clan's diplomatic, financial, and martial affairs. Members of the Leadership are responsible for recruiting, training, and commanding warriors in battle. Those in the Warrior echelon are the fighters of the clan. Those who have yet to prove themselves worthy of the Mizuno clan are placed under no echelon, deemed the 'nameless.'
Nobility
The Nobility echelon of the Mizuno Clan hold strong blood ties to the ancient forefathers of Enoshima. There are three ranks within the nobility.
- The Tatsu/Tatsuo
"Dragon" | The Tatsu/Tatsuo is the head of the clan and inheritor to the Mizuno bloodline.
- The Sukune
"Lord" | The Sukune are feudal lords of the clan and have blood relations to the Tatsu.
- The Namisho
"Master of Waves" | The Namisho is the executor of the Tatsu/Tatsuo.
Leadership
The Leadership echelon of the Mizuno Clan is the highest echelon that members of the Mizuno Clan can reach without being directly related to the Tatsu/Tatsuo. All members of this echelon are appointed by the Nobility.
- Reikan-Nao
"Upper Officer" | The Reikan-Nao (Reino) is the highest leadership rank, charged with overseeing multiple divisions.
- Reikan-Chuo
"Middle Officer" | The Reikan-Chuo (Reicho) is the second leadership rank, charged with leading a division or assisting a Reino.
- Reikan-Hikui
"Lower Officer" | The Reikan-Hikui (Reiku) is the first leadership rank, charged with assisting a Reicho.
Warrior
The Warrior echelon of the Mizuno Clan contains most of the senior fighting force of the clan. They are responsible for ensuring the discipline of the nameless and lower members of the Warrior echelon.
- Shikan-Furu
"Senior Warrior" | The Shikan-Furu (Furukan) is the highest warrior rank, charged with maintaining the discipline and skill of the clan at large.
- Shikan-Bushi
"Proven Warrior" | The Shikan-Bushi (Bushikan) is the second warrior rank, charged with maintaining the discipline and skill of a division.
- Shikan-Funare
"Risen Warrior" | TThe Shikan-Funare (Funarekan) is the first warrior rank, who will learn from his seniors.
