# Kri's IG Guide to new players, looking to YARR and not MOO:
1. What to research?
2. Prosperity points
3. Resources
4. Alliance
5. Rewards
6. Bulk up
7. Flagships
8. Combat
**What to research?**
Priority - LARGE WARSHIPS. Armor, HP, Shields, Attack, Everything related to LARGE WARSHIPS.
Next - EVERYTHING RELATED TO THE SPEED AND BUILDING OF WARSHIPS.
Then - Everything related to LEADERSHIP
Everything else, is up to you.
**Prosperity points**
Priority - The first Blue allocation skill for leadership. +500
Next - LARGE WARSHIPS. Armor, HP, Shields, Attack, Everything related to LARGE WARSHIPS.
Then - Do all the Blues up to but not including Spaceport Defense cannon.
**Resources**
We will mine resources from other players, but note, while you are little and weak, it is 100% best not to exceed your storage protection limits. Do not open crates, or receive rewards until you NEED them to upgrade or build ships. At first, starting out, upgrades and ships are cheap, so let's bulk-up, and look big, then we will start mining other players!
**Alliance**
You pretty much have to do this to advance, join an alliance. There are many alliance chapter missions that offer great rewards, and much of the content is not accessible to non-allianced players. But, you are looking for YARRRR, so don't join a pansy alliance that sits around a star singing kum ba yah, look for a good alliance that wages WAR! Plus, more scary friends, go a LONG WAY!
**Rewards**
Do ghost ships, you get Khorium, resources, flagship data chips, honor, lots of goodies.
Do you core rallies every day.
Do you Stage cores twice a day.
*Level 1 Forts:*
Do them all.
Currently these can be solo'd with roughly 180k power fleet. Attack the center of the fort, conquer it, and sit there until the time runs out. You get about 5k Khorium for each one you do, and lots of honor, resources, etc...
*Level 2 Forts:*
Do them all.
Same as the lvl 1's pretty much just need a bigger fleet, so grab a buddy and about 450k should do the trick. Attack the center of the fort, conquer it, and sit there until the time runs out. You get about 5k Khorium for each one you do, and lots of honor, resources, etc...
*Level 1 Stage Gates:*
Do them all.
You will need 5 fleets and be in an alliance to do these, so grab a buddy.
- 4 fleets at 100k power
- 1 fleet at 200k power
-
Use the 100k power fleets to capture the 4 Defense centers, you can ignore the mobs, just get your butt inside the defense centers, all 4 of them and sit there. This will cause the shield in the center to drop.
Now attack the center with your large fleet, you win. This grants 3k Khorium roughly, amongst other rewards, like alliance supply, honor, resources, etc...
**Bulk up**
To Bulk up, we are going to produce the highest rank Large warships we can make at night, while sleeping. During the day, we are going to produce the lowest rank Large warships. Why? Because per hour, Lower rank tiers create more POWER! And if you put alliance honor and Khorium to good use, you can build this power up even quicker.
Power in this manner only looks cool, but looks can be a bit deceiving, if you look big, you are less likely to be attacked. When it comes to usage tho, you are going to want those high rank ships. Using my current research, # of build queues, skills and bonuses, see the chart below for a comparison as to building power.
| Rank| Power/Hour|Power/Day |
|--|--|--|
| 1| 3,186.46|76,475 |
| 2| 2,394.20|57,461 |
| 3| 1,566.02 |37,584|
| 4| 1,461.41|35,074 |
| 5| 1,393.48|33,444 |
| 6| 1,306.64|31,359|
| 7| 1,223.18|29,356 |
| 8| 1,296.13|31,107|
You will notice Rank 7's are currently my slowest power producing ships, but if that's your highest rank, make those when you are not online to keep your queue going, and Rank 1's while you are on. You don't need to do this forever, just until you feel somewhat more powerful, and less likely to be attacked. Just bear in mind Rank 1s will drop like flies, and produce more loss when used. They aren't for use, they are for looks.
Whatever you do, do not let that build queue stop!
**Flagships**
Your main flagship of choice will be the Cyclops-class. It's a brute, and one of your chapter missions will give you 100 blueprints to build it. Once you get, keep it leveled as high as you can, leadership allows bigger fleets! Bigger fleets wage more WAR!
The Hercules is a good solid choice for a secondary, as well as the Apollo-class. Currently bugged, and not working, the leadership bonuses will go a long way. You will get 300 Apollo class blueprints from an alliance chapter mission reward. Put it to use, it will be your first purple flag.
The Titan-Class is your spaceport killer, but you need to get these blueprints from the alliance shop, so find a good alliance, the higher the shop level, the more blueprints you will get.
Once you get the Gear outfitter, upgrade gear to its highest possible level. Your flagships power will increase greatly!
**Combat**
Evaluate your target.
A quick look at the commander will tell you A LOT about the person. If I see a Command Center(cc) level 12 and the guy has 200k power, sure bet, he is loaded. If he has 50k power, he probably empty. If you feel like they are offline, scout it.
Scouting can be risky, so if you can evaluate and guess what someone has without scouting, you can surprise them. Think about what they have, if you have X amount, what might they have? You need to pay attention to what you had at their level, to guess what they have in their, and whether you will win.
Use LARGE warships only, highest rank you can make. These things are survivors, little ships DIE.
Once you defeat the base once, the rest is cake, just keep hitting them, the larger your fleets load, the less time this takes, but it could be 50 hits before you drain them, just depends on what they have.
Now, hide. When your little, stay on the move, bubble if you feel uncomfortable, pay attention to your surroundings. The big guys who have opened more, they can see you, even if you can't see them, and they are LOOKING for you, do not make it easy. If you make it hard, there are 50 more guys for each of you who are making it easy, so you are relatively safe, if you make it hard!
Every once and while, you may take a hit, don't CRY! Repair, rebuild, get even.
Some guy make you mad? Here's how to find him.
Keep you eyes on popular choke points in each quad, for a bit of time each. There is a good bet one of their probes will eventually go by. Then follow it, 50/50 it is going to him or away...
Targets may teleport, just follow them if you see this happen. There are only up to 4 possible systems each system can take you, and you have plenty of time to check them all each time the port initiates, it's child's play, just follow them. They land, think they are smart and go offline. You then come in with a grocery bag and go shopping.
This is it for now, should get anyone moving in the right direction.
