Put simply [GitHub](https://github.com/) is a platform for **Git**, a form of [version control](https://www.atlassian.com/git/tutorials/what-is-version-control) used by many open source projects including this one. Git makes collaboration between many individuals much easier to track and manage while ensuring nobody accidentally overwrites anothers changes. ### How do I use GitHub?
