# DAO East & West Chat Notes
**General Description:**
Hey All!
We've had some really great conversations in Denver and Colombia the past couple months.
As we prepare for "DAO West visits DAO East" this winter, I would love to hang out and chat more with everyone leading up to it.
Mainly to get to know each other more, learn what each person cares about and maybe even jam on some new ideas!
Goal is to organize a bi-weekly call at a time that works for Asia and US DAO lovers (sorry Europe for now).

- Discussed the life and death cycle of DAOs (and why it's so important to let DAOs die)
- Yudai & his colleague from Fracton joined and dropped some solid DAO Tokyo alpha
- Potential date range: DAO Tokyo Mar ~27~30 time
- Scouting for venue
- Aiming for 200-300 people (strong mix of represented 60% Asia/40% other)
- Couple different types of days that make up the event
- Get locals better positioned for contributing to DAOs
- Potential skiing before event (Tae is focused on onsen)
- Idea for a "DAO East Meets DAO West" DAO to help facilitate and fund eastern visitors to ETH Denver and western vistors to DAO Tokyo / DAOcon Seoul
- Japan doesn't seem too affected by FTX directly (FTX Japan is its own regualted entity - make take some time but hopefully customers will get their money back)
