# myCenter Evaluation
I wanted to create this document as I have some concerns as myCenter grows and I wanted to address them and make some recommendations.
### I am open to discussing this, however, I do think that something should change whatever it may be.
# Also, my god Matthew. Stop doing useless essays, services, ideas, and stuff for staff. Its overcomplicating it.
## Overview
I joined myCenter in October. While I have no use for an application center, I joined because of my curiosity. The service was really neat and I wanted to get involved, however the structure of myCenter's departments, hiring process, and the multitude of conflicting documents made it confusing. I saw that moderation applications had opened so I applied, passed all tests and became a trial moderator. I was active that week looking at discord, however there was little activity and none to moderate. I recieved notice that I was terminated due to no activity. Then Matthew allowed me to join HR, I did and then became a HR Intern/Trial person. From there I help Matthew with some Development and became a member of HiComm.
Through this past month and a half or so, I have had the oppurtunity to listen to the complaints of members in other servers I am in, watch myCenter in different roles, and view myCenter as a customer. Based on this I have a few recommendations I would like to make, and hopefully implement before/with the release of DarkBright. These changes are based on my observations.
## Recommendations
1. Re-org the Departments to this structure. .svg)
2. This stucture simplifies the multitude of departments into three main departments: Customer Relations, Operations, and Human Resources. These departments will allow myCenter to focus their efforts on providing a better product, support, and experience to the user. By removing and simplifying the departments staff will be able to be more active in the their department and play a bigger role in myCenters future.
**a.** Each user would be able to be in one main department and play multiple roles within, such as Marketing+Support.
3. The Operations department is new, it would take on the role of development, quality assurance, and captcha/manual labor tasks. It would also make sure that myCenter services are avaiable 24/7 and maintain communication will all users to any service disruptions. This is something that myCenter lacks and needs to address, whether or not its in this manner. One of the #1 complaints by users is the unreliability and unusability of the current service.
5. myCenter needs to be more transparent and organized with its documentation. There are so many different documents that conflict, un-needed services (slack, classroom, etc), and a general lack of information. To address this we should create a documentation team that creates support articles, creates our staff policies, and creates our universal documentation brand.
6. The ranks/positions in myCenter are confusing and need to be addressed so users know how we function and run.
**Current Structure**

- Founder - Matthew
- Founders - Rei, Dev_Jaguar, etc
- Executive Team - SimplyCon, Rei, Dev_Jaguar, etc
- HiComm - Matthew, SimplyCon, Rei, Dev_Jaguar
- Board of Directors - Dept. Heads
- Department Heads - Dept. Heads
**Like what in the world, the most confusing structure on eath.**
**New Proposed**
- Leader/founder/etc - Matthew
- Directors - SimplyCon (Opetations), Rei (Customer Relations), Dev_Jaguar (Human Resources)
- Assistant Directors - Sub Department Heads
- Staff (For Main Discord)
- Special Roles for people who need perms for stuff, support, moderator, etc.
- Also, combine all our discords into Main, Ops, Relations, HR.
6. Hiring, whew. What a nightmare. This is my proposed solution.
1. Applications open for one of the main departments, with applicable sub depts open.
2. Person Applies and Passes
3. Must pass HR review, which can be background check, interview (text or voice)
4. Then go into whichever department training program (documented by documentation team), and become a in-training staff member.
5. End of Training Program and become a staff member
