# CCTB Seminar # PLEASE USE CCTB WIKI FROM NOW ON (EVENTS PAGE)! ### Groups and PIs - Computational Evolutionary Biology (CEB), Jörg Schultz - Supramolecular and Cellular Simulations (CSI), Sabine Fischer - BioMedical Data Science (BMD), Markus Ankenbrand - Theoretical Biology (TEcoEvo), Chaitanya S. Gokhale ### Other activities in our seminar - Alumni talks - [Data Dojo](https://ddojo.github.io/) - [Cooking sessions](https://hackmd.io/PhOpF6VoQN2D9Mg6R3K9bQ?view) ### General Every wednesday, we have an internal seminar (occasionally with invited speakers) at 11:00am. Primarily, the seminars are meant for scientific presentation, but we also want to encourage all of you to just take the opportunity to present anything interesting (please let it be work related ). Some examples might be: - You need some feedback for an upcoming conference talk? Hold your presentation for us! - You feel very productive? Share parts of your work routine with the rest! - You are very good at presenting your work? Show us exactly how you do it! - You are good at optimising code? Tell us how to speed up our computations! Since we have a broad diversity in educational background (biology, ecology, math, physics) some introduction to some of the basics of each background can also spawn a viable topic. ### List of Seminars | Group | Date | Speaker | Topic | Format | Audience | Host | | ------| ---- | ------- | ----- | ------ | -------- | ---- | | Data Dojo | 2023-03-01| everyone| ML series: Tallo Tree Data (missing data)| Hybrid||Markus| | CEB | 2023-03-08| Jörg| REST, JSON, Juypter - And could you make it serverless, please?|Hybrid|||| | CSI | 2023-03-15| Stuart Johnston (Melbourne)|Modelling collective whale navigation and migration.| Online||Sabine| | CSI | 2023-03-23| Marc Pereyra (FIAS) Frankfurt | Quantifying 3D morphogenesis with particle image velocimetry in Julia| ||Andi| | all| 2023-03-29| everyone| **10 am** General assembly| Hybrid||Sabine| | Cooking | 2023-03-29|Sascha || live||| | BMD| 2023-04-05| Markus| 3.
