# Ideas for Project: Green
## Story
- Abandoned town, clear away to develop forestry
- Clearing buildings for new natural shelter for animals
- Goddess gives Vex a seed from her necklace to start the forest. This seed acts as the root tree for the forest (See ATLA World Tree in the swamp)
- "Pure sinless child" befriends animals and vex and is permitted in the forest
## Gameplay
- Incorporate old over grown signs into layout
- Brick and mortar streets/structures cleared out
- Invite animals as you get some plants and water back
- Reverse city builder? RPG? Both?
- Base building
- Harvest Moon ANB type of building mechanic
- Tame animals, as you develop forest, you unlock new animals. Each animal has their own special skills
- Rats/Mice: Send into tiny crevices and they act as eyes
- Wolves: locate specific materials/objects you've previously aquired and bring them back to you
- Birds: Scouting
- Bear: Break things open/down
- Animal trust guage
- Menu to call upon previously befriended species
- Animal trust system: food offerings, animal emotions and wants, build trust by getting them things they want/need
- Goddess can grow into larger, more powerful being once player has grown into humanoid being. Early mid: Deer/Dragon, late game: full draconic
- Scares off humans from harming animals
- Multiple saves for multiple forests (different layouts)
## Character
- Forest god/spirit
- Can commune with animals
- Can "link up" with animals to use their abilities
- Same as those who inhabited the towns, a pure version
- Forest spirit who roams the world creating new forests in neglected lands
- Set name given to you (Vexian or Vex for short) by the goddess that you can ask the goddess to change later on
- Goddess: "What would you like to be called?", three options: "Type name, I'm not sure, I changed my mind". She says new name a few times and agrees, small message about how the name she gave was a gift and if it no longer suits you, than you have grown into a new being.
- Start as a wisp/spore and grow into the being as time goes on (see chats with the void for some light reference). "Level up" with different animals from rabbits to fox, etc.
- When upgraded enough to be humanoid, you can get the companions and still transform into the animals, but can't call upon the animals unless humanoid
- Humanoid customization
- Animals scared of player until the trust is built (trust system)
- earns first skull from an animal that humans killed
- Player choice on wearing different skulls, each skull gives a different skill/bonus
- Can sense humans truthfullness, decide to permit them or reject them (skill either earned or from a skull, sense when a human enters your forest and permit/deny them entry {Secret skill})
- Different skulls give different glowy parts (deer: Eye, Bear: Mouth, Wolf: Heart)
## Extras
- Shadow/Mutated creatures inhabit other human settlements, feed on the decay and human deprivation
