# 2020-01-14 Meeting OroraTech ## Balloon: ### Requirements: * Balloon: * Weight: 4000g * Gondola: * Weight: 2000g * Batteries: ### Integration, Structure: * Camera will be mounted on the "backside" of the backplane * GlobalStar module + antenna will be mounted outside of the styrofoam box and only a UART connection + power supply will be routed to the LoPy board. Important: Don't use USART, use either UART or UART with flow control (UART + RTS and CTS) ## Payloads: * Camera: * Energy requirements: * 10W peak at 5V Bus maximum rating * 2.5W at 5V Bus average rating * 2W + 2.4W at VBat maximum rating * 0.6 (heating) + 2.5W (2W output + 0.5W conversion losses at boost converter) at VBat estimated average rating * Weight: * 500g * Data: * USART connection * Globalstar: * Energy: * 1W at 5V maximum rating * 200mW at 5V average rating * Data: * UART connection ## Backplane Review: * check if I2C and CAN can function on the same port (change if necessary) * GND on P1 as optocoupler LED ground * think if resistors on SPI can be removed or have to be increased * CAN driver VCC label missing (why no error?) * check lokal (global) labels (naming rules?) * use quarz (8MHz ?) on MSP for CAN integrity * Connect CAN-clk to MSP pwm-pin * think about how often MSP gets pinged via CAN * use same converter (6A) on 5V and 3V3 power line. Adjust frequency divider and coil accordingly * use same switch on 3V3, 5V and VBat (FPF switch) * Solder bridges for not connected pins towards ground (don't build ground loops, don't have floating lines) * conect pin 13 on P4 to something so it is not floating ## To Be Done - Orora * Test average power consumption * Take estimations from the meeting, final measurements will take still some time * Estimation of dimensions * Dominik got the task, will provide 3D models * Mass estimation: * Current prototype: 500g without full structure and PL adapter board * 500g is likely not possible, we need to check how much more exactly we need * Discuss with Dominik: Backplane as main structure? * Answer by Dominik: Should work, lets try it
