# 2023/03/24 - Project: SDE Metrics meeting-7 [Paper writing] ###### tags: `Project: SDE Metrics` - Location: Room 3.032 - Date: Monday 24th March 2023, 9.30 am - Attendees: Kirsten, Atif, Jingrui, Steve - Apologies: Cameron, Naif ## Agenda - Planning: defining contributions, writing out the sections and subsections, allocating people to sections - 1- day writing day (suitable time and event meal venue) ## Minutes - Decision on rough structure of the paper - Introduction: -> ML models are data hungry -> no enough real data -> synthetic data -> evaluate synthetic data tool and metrics -> no unified tool to evaluate all types of synthetic data (our package) - Related work: write short lit review of tools and applications currently available, their limitations and how our package address these. - Main section: i) Design Philosophy & project vision (high level description) [ this includes explanation of package modularity, flexibility (data type & generation method agnostic) , extendibility and UX], ii) Use cases, taxonomy and metrics table (low level description of metrics), and iii) demonstration section [ presenting/ validating the metrics (both novel and third-party) works as intended or proof of concept]. - Conclusion: summary of contribution - Future work: ongoing vision for the package ![](https://i.imgur.com/BVBM1uZ.jpg) - We decided the 1-day writing day will be in May (exact day to be decided by poll) - In preparation for writing day we want following tasks done by then - Gather all literature needed for related work sections. We envision to explore up to 6 related tools/packages similar to us. - Please populate this [spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nxFQrPDvyGZEY7t0VICzWmWejr9pQ2NOfk_BsV1K-E4/edit?usp=sharing) with relevant tools/packages.
