I majored in statistics at university. After that I got master degree in applied statistic.(My research paper is about biostatistic field.) In school, I learned statistical knowledge and ML/AI knowledge. I began my career in data engineer/data analysis, but 3 years ago, I become a (R&D)front-end software engineer. I have experience to deal with big data, which is NHI, and to build predictive models about internet behavior. In addition, I also have 3 years experience in fornt-end development(Vue.js and React.js) and have basic knowledge of kubernetes, container and GCP. I enjoy creating something and learn new technical knowledge to solve people problems I think I’m a good fit for this job. As the result, it would be appreciated if I have given the chance to showcase my talent here. ### What challenges have you faced? How did you handle them? When I was a data engineer my first work goal was building a predictive model about whether device on the internet. But there was no data in my company, I needed to get data by myself. In the beginning, I surfed the internet and recorded which website I surfed. It wasted lots of time. And then I created a automatic program to imitate real people surfed the internet. There were some restrictions, but it worked. When I changed job title to R&D, I needed to learn lots of skills. I asked for my colleague who had experience advices. Was there any learning path? ### What are your strengths and weaknesses? I have the courage to take on a challenge and I never give up. When I changed job title to be R&D. I need to learn lots of knowledge by myself. In addition, I am observant and communicative. Sometimes never give up caused my time management was bad. I needed to spend off-duty time to complete PBI. I have started to fix this problem by sprint retrospective, I have already made good progress, and will continue to do so. ### What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 1/3/5 years? My career goal is be a senior software engineer.For that, I plan to learn full stack skills and continue to follow the trend and future direction of the technology era, developing innovative and efficient ways to solve problems. In addition, I plan to hold master's degree in CS to strengthen the foundation like data structure and algorithm, system design...etc.. I’m excited about the opportunities this job would provide me, as I believe they will support my long-term career goals and allow me to grow within your company and give back by utilizing the skills I’ll gain. ### Why did you leave your last job? My former company was business driven, when our team created products or services, if no sales representative promoted that, we needed to change the goal. I wanted to work under pressure from clients and got much experience. So made a difficult decision to leave the company to go on a search this kind of environment. There are lot of people using MS products, that’s why I was very eager to meet with you. ### What is your biggest achievement during your career? In my former company, there was an opportunity to transition to a new role. And then, I bacame R&D Engineer (almost focus on front-end engineer). I spent lots of time to learn skills by myself. There are many resources on the internet. In addition, I bought some courses to enforce my knowledge. Although I was non-major related, I learned by doing and catched up with colleagues. Now I am able to finish project individually. ### What are your personal interests/hobbies outside of work? I love playing basketball and reading inspirational books. It makes me release my pressure and strengthens my mind. Some of my best work-related ideas actually came to me when I was playing basketball and reading books. ### Why did you want to join our company? MS is one of the most well-known companies in the world, and hundreds of millions of people use MS daily. That's the reason why I want to join you, I want to help customers solve their problems. ### What do you think about overtime? If it's the emergency about customer, I will help them. ### Do you have any questions for us? Yes, I have a couple questions for you: 1. Are there any employee training in company? 2. What kinds of technical support am I responsible for? 3. Dose company provide resources to learn other skills? 5. Do I have a chance to transition the role? 6. Personally, I'm service oriented. I like to find others' pain points and try to solve them, which can help me to create a good relationship with customers as well. But relatively speaking, the sense of achievement in the process of researching technology will be a bigger motivation for my work.
