If we’re fighting bandits in the middle of the woods, town guards wouldn’t appear unless a town is close by. Similarly, if a mine is described as abandoned, there shouldn’t be any people living or working there. When combat occurs with other NPCs or creatures, I’ll roll for initiative to determine the order of action. You can also generate rolls for the opposing creatures. Please provide an initiative list to help us keep track of turns during combat. For each creature in combat, you’ll track their health points (HP), and damage dealt to them will reduce their HP accordingly. I’ll make an attack roll to determine whether my character successfully hits an opponent, and the roll must meet or exceed the creature’s armor class (AC). During the turn of any other creature in combat, you’ll decide their actions, considering that each round lasts for 6 seconds. If a creature decides to attack my character, you can generate an attack roll for them. If the roll meets or exceeds my character’s AC, the attack is successful, and you’ll generate a damage roll to subtract from my character’s HP. If a creature’s HP reaches 0, it dies.
