# NounCraft Build Contest Mod/Content List List of mods for the NounCraft Build Contest, as well as some potential ideas! Very much recommend reading that material! ### [Advanced Mining dimension](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/advanced-mining-dimension) This mod adds a cheap dimensional teleporter leading to a dimension consisting entirely of caves, so players don't need to obliterate the overworld to strip mine. Build should teach players that this block/dimension exists, and what it does- one possible idea is a mock mineshaft entrance, with instructions on how to build the portal block. ### [Alex's Mobs](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/alexs-mobs) This mod adds almost 90 new wild animals to Minecraft, in land, sea, and sky. A build highlighting this mod should show some of the animals from various biomes, like a small zoo. ### [Aquaculture 2](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/aquaculture) A full overhaul of the Minecraft fishing system, adding new fish, new rods, bait and hook mechanics, customized bobbers, biome variation, even rare weapons, tools, and armor! Any build highlighting this mod should show off some of the new fish and rods, and have an enclosed fishing area for players to test them out. ### [AstikorCarts](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/astikorcarts) A simple mod that adds horse or player drawn carts to Minecraft, including a supply cart, a plow, and a cart specifically for moving animals! There are lots of options for showing off this mod's capabilities, be it a workshop, store, or even a barn! ### [Camera Mod](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/camera-mod) Exactly what it says on the box, this adds a Camera and photos to Minecraft. A small photo studio or museum would be great options to show off this mod. (You can also upload images from your own computer- maybe your favorite cc0 Nouns art?) ### [Domestication Innovation](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/domestication-innovation) This mod completely overhauls tameable mobs in Minecraft, adding Axolotls, Foxes, Rabbits, and Frogs to the list of options, as well as adding pet beds that give your pet a respawn point, ways to summon distant pets/recover them when lost, and even enchant your pets to have special abilities! A pet shop or vet would be great build ideas here. ### [Fairy Lights](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/fairy-lights) A cute mod that adds dozens of decorative lights and banners, everything from christmas string lights to paper lanterns to neon light sticks. Lots of ways to show off this mod- but the feature to customize banners and light strings beyond what you can just grab from creative should definitely be highlighted. ### [Gaggle of Golems](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/gaggle-of-golem) Y'know the Iron Golems you find in villages? Ever wanted to be able to make the golems from Minecraft Dungeons or Minecraft: Story Mode? Good news! This mod adds a whole bunch of golems from across the Minecraft IP into the base game. Check out the mod page for details. Build should show a few options as well as how to assemble them! ### [Handcrafted](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/handcrafted) A cozy furniture mod with a medieval fantasy/steampunk feel. Chairs, tables, desks, beds with special duvet and pillow colors/patterns- a wonderful content mod that really levels up your ability to make a cozy home. There is already an Inn in spawn with some empty bedrooms- Customizing a few (or all!) of those would be a fantastic way to show off this mod. ### [Little Logistics](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/little-logistics) Tiny boats automated boats and tiny trains that run on minecarts tracks! This is one of the cutest automation mods out there. There is already a tugboat carting wheat along a river in spawn- a build showing how it was made, as well as the trains, would be fantastic! Also recommend showing of the [Little Contraptions](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/little-contraptions) add-on while you're at it. ### [MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/mrcrayfish-furniture-mod) Another very self explanatory mod, this adds a LOT of vanilla style furniture to the game. Many of these will likely be used in builds for other mods on this list- but a showcase of the many varieties here would be wonderful to have. A simple house build with the options could do just as well as a furniture store here, so long as it shows off the cool features! ### [Plushie mod](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/plushie-mod) SO many adorable plushies of various animals! One of the simpler mods, but definitely fun to play with, and surprisingly difficult to collect materials for. The options for builds here are many and varied- go with your gut! ### Combat Mods This is unique in that it's more of a category than a single mod. NounCraft has a fully overhauled custom combat system, with new weapons and armor, retooled damage, custom animations, etc. A build that lets people test out these weapons, such as a dojo or training ground, would be invaluable. A stonemason's workshop is one potential idea for this build. ### [Supplementaries](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/supplementaries) Another miscellaneous mod designed to fill in some of the gaps in Vanilla minecraft, this mod is too varied to describe here. A build highlighting it would probably focus on the various decoration options. Also recommend checking out [Supplementaries Squared](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/supplementaries-squared), which adds EVEN MORE content to this mod. ### Note from RFG This list is far from exhaustive- While these are the mods I, RobotFishGirl, would like to see most in the spawn, they are NOT your only options! Check out the full mod list in the curseforge launcher, if you get an idea from one that you really like, go for it! The only exception would be Create, as there is already a Create focused building in spawn. On a related note, probably best to avoid highlighting mods someone else is already working on a build for- so ask around before starting! *** ## Vanilla Features In addition to the content mods, there are lots of vanilla options- enchanting, smithing, even the sound design- that have received Quality of Life upgrades on NounCraft. This server is meant for people of all levels of experience- if you'd like to make a magicians workshop showing how enchanting works, an alchemist's potion lab, a blacksmith's forge, whatever, they'd all be perfectly acceptable builds! As long as you're teaching players something in a way that fits the [Build Criteria](https://hackmd.io/@RobotFishGirl/ryjV94GrA#Build-Criteria), it's all good! *** ## Nounish Culture Don't wanna highlight an in-game feature? That's A-Okay! The NounCraft server is as much about the Nouns ecosystem as it is about gameplay- if there's a particular Nouns project you'd like to create an honorary build for, go for it! A handful of ideas would be Lil Nouns, FoodNouns, Yellow Collective, Nouns Esports, Nouncil, Shark Pickle Cone, SharkDAO, the Rise of Blus, even tangentially related projects like Gremplin's Cryptoads- there are literally hundreds of potential CC0 options.
