# Week 0

Hey this is Ishika ([Rimeeeeee](https://github.com/Rimeeeeee)), joining EPF Cohort 6 permissionlessly. Here is my week 0 update.

For the last few weeks I have been researching the relevant topics using the [Epf wiki.](https://epf.wiki/#/eps/intro?id=study-group-content) Since I am familiar with rust , I am more inclined towards the rust based projects. Here are a few of projects I found particularly interesting.

### [Grandine: FOCIL (EIP-7805) Implementation and Testnet Deployment](https://github.com/eth-protocol-fellows/cohort-six/blob/master/projects/project-ideas.md#grandine-focil-eip-7805-implementation-and-testnet-deployment)

I am interested in this project because for the past couple of weeks I have been studying the [consensus specs](https://github.com/ethereum/consensus-specs/). I have been looking at their code . I have also read the [EIP 7805](https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-7805) and tried to understand the proposed changes.

### [Besu / Erigon / Geth / Nethermind / Nimbus EL / Reth: Pureth (EIP-7919)](https://github.com/eth-protocol-fellows/cohort-six/blob/master/projects/project-ideas.md#besu--erigon--geth--nethermind--nimbus-el--reth-pureth-eip-7919)

This project is also interesting to me. I am looking into [EIP 7919](https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-7919). Since I have been contributing to reth for a couple of months. I’m somewhat familiar with EL internals and JSON-RPC. If possible I will like to implement this for reth.

I am also exploring other [proposals](https://github.com/eth-protocol-fellows/cohort-six/blob/master/projects/project-ideas.md#proposed-projects), specially the Grandine ones.

### Next Week Plan
For the next week I will love to study the relevant codebases deeply. Along with experimentation with ssz. I will love to deepen my knowledge on the Eips too. :)
