Sunny Pires is a 18yd Pro-Surfer who grew up in Búzios, Rio de Janeiro- Brazil.


Sunny's parent struggle to fund his travels to compete. Most of the time, they give up on certain championships because of the cost.

He is Top 1 in the Rio de Janeiro Ranking under 18, but even being on top he struggled to get funded with traditional ways.

6x time Champion Rio de Janeiro state under 18.


Rickyday, his manager, introduced him to crypto/web3, specifically the Nouns ecosystem, as an alternative to get funded. When he received his first sponsorship paid with crypto, he traveled across Brazil competing and was able to spend two months in Hawaii to improve his surfing.

As a counteroffer, he became a builder, introducing athletes to web3, creating media for his brand partners, and he is eager to do even more! He is soaring in his career, winning everything, and all the brands associated with him are soaring too.

Sunny was recognized by the Chamber of Deputies as an exemplary professional surfer at the age of 17.
