Participants will learn how to use Github to save a version history of files, back up work to the cloud, share work with collaborators, and use multiple versions of the same file. Workshop topics will include fundamental git concepts, creating repositories, backing up code with documentation and version control, and managing branches of a project. ## Prerequisites - Please [sign up for a Github account](https://github.com/) if you do not already have one. - Next, [install Github Desktop](https://desktop.github.com/) on your computer. - You will need access to a plain text editor. For example: Notepad, Textedit, [Atom](https://atom.io/), Vi, etc. (Please do not use MS Word).
