# Live Chat Widget
In this article, we will be using our DEMO workspace, Flowers By Lily. The main topics of discussion will focus on.
* Add Live Chat Widget
* Proactive Messages
* BeeOpen Live Agent Settings
All Rake plans will have Live Chat and Proactive Messages. Rake plans with BeeOpen Agent engagements can take advantage of additional settings.
## Add Live Chat Widget
Let's add our Live Chat Widget to your website! All workspaces will have a basic default configuration that will make implementation fast and seamless. Depending on your Rake plan, you may add more than one widget if you have more that one website. To access our code, enter the Workspace Editor and select Live Chat Widgets. Here we can see our default configuration.

You may add a widget or use the default configuration to get you started. In this article, let's use our existing default configuration. For Flowers By Lily, the configuration has already been labeled since the creation of the workspace. Select your configuration to open the Live Chat Widget blade.

By default, the widget will be displayed on the bottom right of your website and will have a light blue theme. Edit the colors and widget placement by clicking EDIT in the Configuration box. For now, collect the code by clicking SHOW CODE.

If you are the web administrator, you may copy and paste the code to your site. For standard HTML implementation, in your website source, add the javascript code just before the </body> closing tag on ALL pages you want to display the Live Chat button.
If you are not the website administrator, enter their email address to send the code along with additional instructions.

Once the code has been added, a conversation can now be initiated from the widget.
## Proactive Messages
The live chat widget can be configured to be more eye catching. One way can be with color and another can be with a Proactive Message. With a Proactive Message, you can add a friendly message with an audio cue to attract more customer engagements. We have reported about 4 times more engagements after adding a Proactive Message.
To add a Proactive Message select your current configuration and click ADD MESSAGE.

Label your message and type in your message. You may preview your message as it will appear to the customer before you save.

For our Flowers By Lily, we will make one proactive message for all new and returning customers.

A basic parameter for showing the proactive message, will be Time Elapsed. Select Time elapsed in the Event drop down and add a wait time before the proactive message is displayed. For best results, add a value from 5 to 10. With this parameter, a customer will load your website along with the widget. After 5 seconds, the proactive message will launch with a sound effect.

Save your Proactive Message and you are finished!
