# Spelljammer: Elven Imperial Navy and Xaryxian Empire
## Elven Imperial Navy
The Elven Imperial Navy is the primary Wildspace military force of the elves from all crystal spheres.
### Organization
The Elven Imperial Navy is a large military company with individual fleets spread throughout Wildspace.

Officially, the Navy serves the royalty of elven planets of each crystal sphere, as if all elves belonged to the same empire; in truth, the Navy enter any and all crystal sphere and conquer it.

The head of the chain of command is the Grand Admiral, the Grand Admiral is assisted by a council of Admirals known as the Cabinet, who were usually very old, even by elven standards. The Cabinet was composed of eleven Admirals in total.

Below the Cabinet was the Bench, which served as a judicial branch, and Accounting Services. These did not hold true power of command, but were crucial to the functioning of the organization.

Fleet Admirals were the next rank, and they were in charge of a force consisting of many captains. Fleet Admirals usually controlled a single crystal sphere, although a Captain might control a system if the number of elven ships in that location was very low.

The current Grand Admiral is Emperor Xavan, part of the royal family that once ruled over the empire, he has two offspring Princess Xedalli and Prince Xeleth, twins destined to share the Grand Admiral title, by his father's wishes.
### Activities
The main activity of the Elven Navy is the expansion of their reach, they are constantly exploring the Astral Sea and entering new crystal spheres to conquer. Most of the time, crystal spheres surrender to the sheer firepower spelljammers represent.

Another important activity of the Navy is the promotion of elven interests throughout Wildspace and the Astral Sea. This activity is primarily communication between elven realms in different crystal spheres as well as facilitating trade between crystal spheres. At least once per year, Imperial vessels would visit every major settlement of groundling elves throughout Wildspace.

The Navy prioritized becoming or heavily influencing the main governmental body of crystal spheres, this was typically achieved through conquest or coercion.
### Base of Operations
The headquarters of the Navy is the Moonglow Citadel, located on Xaryxispace. This is the home of the Cabinet and the Grand Admiral.
### Relationships
Prince Andru of the Rock of Bral had granted permanent landing rights and access to its repair facilities to the Elven Navy in exchange for the defense of the Rock.

The Navy is also the sole remaining branch of the Xaryxian Empire, they became the de-facto governmental body of what remained of the empire.
## Xaryxian Empire
The Xaryxian was a once-great elven empire with hundreds of spheres under their rule, a thousand or so years ago, the empire collapsed through infighting and warring over resources.
### Organization
Little remains of the Xaryxian Empire, the Navy has managed to successfully recover a few dozen spheres over the course of the last 500 years.

The head of the Empire is Emperor Xavan, who also holds the title of Grand Admiral. Elven worlds also lay claim to be part of the empire, but they mostly operate on their own while the Navy exclusively provides protection from space.
### Base of Operations
The royal family lives on the Imperial Palace, a replica of the one that existed on Xaryndar, the Imperial Palace is on the Moonglow Citadel, a space station built on Xarylor, the moon that orbits Xaryndar.
### Relationships
The Empire holds an embassy in the Rock of Bral and on select elven worlds.
