It can be very frustrating when your Epson L3110 printer refuses to print black ink, and you get uneven outcomes like faded text or missing lines. If you want things to work well, here is a simple troubleshooting method to resolve the black ink not printing issue:

* Press the Windows Start button.
* Search for “Control Panel” and open it.
* Select “Hardware and Sound.”
* Click on “Devices and Printers.”
* From the list, choose “Devices.”
* Scroll down to More devices and printer settings, then click it.
* Look for your Epson printer model, then right-click it.
* From the dialog box, choose “Printer preferences.”
* The Printer preferences pop-up window will show up. Open the Maintenance tab.
* Select “Print Head Cleaning” to start the cleaning process.
* Press the “Start” button and wait for your printer to finish the first cleaning cycle.
* The power button on your printer will start flashing, which means that the printer is cleaning its head.
* Once the cleaning cycle is finished, press the “Print Nozzle Check Pattern” button.
* In the new window, select the “Print” option.
* The printer will print a nozzle check. Compare it with the sample displayed on the screen. Click “Clean” in case you see any gaps or faint lines.
