--- tags: macro, respirometry title: How to run macros --- # Running Macros With ExpeData NOTE: Cannot do this while collecting data! written for macro that analyzes 300 second per cage - Browse the folder structure on the computer to the first file in the series of files you recorded (should ned in *_0000.exp) and double click the file to launch Expedata and open that file - click File -> Append Data Files -> select all files in that series - EXTRA IMPORTANT: one the appended file is made you MUST click File -> Save File As... -> rename to a unique name - if you just click save you will save over one of the original files recorded!! please don't do this - Click File -> Analyse Data Now! -> Change Macro -> ToVO2,VCO2,H2O-DB-300sec_per_cage.txt -> Choose File(s) -> appended data file saved from previous step -> Run Macro - Once the macro is completed go back to the Automated Data Analysis Window -> Change Macro -> extract-means-by-interval-Barbra-Dec-18-2019.txt -> Choose File(s) -> mod-*.exp -> Run Macro - mod-*: the * is the name of the appended data file - Once the macro is completed main graphed expedata window -> View -> Spreadsheet -> File -> Save As... -> save the .csv - Analyze .csv in R
