1. His employees are incompetent. That’s why their always behind schedule.
PL: It's apparently often a challenge for the employees to uphold the schedule.
RM: It seems that party A is upset because party B has delivered their work behind schedule more than once.
AJ: You’re concerned about their time management skills and efficiency and how it’s affecting the business?
BS: You mean the performance of his company has negatively affected your performance
2. She lacks the skills to be assigned as my supervisor. I have more experience about the organization than she does.
PL: B has some doubts about A's capacity to be his supervisor. B believes he has more experience about the organization.
RM: What I am hearing is that party B has the experience and skills necessary to do this job, and does not understand why they were not given the responsibility.
AJ: It sounds like you value experience and seniority.
BS: You mean the appointment was not fair?
3. They should handle their own stuff. We should stay out of it.
PL: John belives that the team should be autonomous and it's not his place to intervene.
RM: What if it was you? Would you like them to help you out?
AJ: It sounds like you would like to remain impartial to reduce conflict. You trust them to handle the situation.
BS: You mean you should leave it now?
4. The quality of the work is cheap. He probably paid fifty dollars to get the roof repaired. Do you really think it will pass inspection?
PL: Mary questions the quality and budget of the work. She's has doubts it will pass inspection.
RM: It seems you are not satisfied with the quality of the work and concerned the roof repair job will not pass inspection.
AJ: It sounds like you believe in paying for higher quality while they had concerns of being frugal.
BS: Do you evaluate the work as needing more effort from builders?
5. The smart thing to do is not assign the blue team any project. They will always cost the company money and they will never finish on time.
PL: Stephen is hesitant to assign projects to the blue team. This is due to the cost and his timeline expectations.
RM: It sounds like the blue team is having some trouble, before assigning them any more work, maybe we could reach out and offer them some help.
AJ: So are you saying the blue team maybe needs more guidance and training to finish more efficiently?
BS: You mean much care is needed to protect company financial resources and performance
6. He doesn’t know what to do. Like always, I have to do it myself to make sure things get done.
PL: Alice things Bob is a bit disoriented, and that she often has to compensate for that.
RM: Sounds like you are concerned about their inexperience. Is there anything in particular you think they won't be able to do?
AJ: So are you saying he maybe needs more guidance and training? Is he able to shadow you?
BS: You mean fairness in work distribution and completion should be observed by all?
7. It was your careless driving that caused me to crash my car.
PL: Perhaps there was a lapse of attention that percipitated this.
RM: What I understand from what you said is that you believe the accident was caused by a distraction?
AJ:
BS: The concern is the damaged property resulting from the accident
8. Why doesn’t he get it? I don’t want him in my life anymore. I want out of the relationship like yesterday.
PL: Rose doesn't understand Dan's persistence in working in the relationship.
RM: What I'm hearing is that you think it's time for each of you to move on.
AJ: It sounds like you are in need of direct communication and defined boundaries with clearly outlined consequences.
BS: As she says, she needs a different way of life which does not involve you.
