THIS GUIDE IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. IT WILL TAKE TIME FOR IT TO BE FINISHED.
The video Guide below was created by our former Tech-Manager, Megaman and is no longer being updated. Everything should be accurate but do NOT download the files there as they are no longer being updated!
Download the Game from here only!: Link
Reinstalling Fresh
If you need to reinstall the game for an update (ie; 6.6.0), DO NOT REMOVE THE GAME FROM STEAM! Doing so will delete you save. You have two options for transferring your save to the new files.
Option 1: Manually move your save
- Find your current save files (Use the video above)
- Make a copy and put it in a safe spot on your Steam Deck (ie; downloads or documents)
- Redownload the game as normal
- After downloading, move the saves to the new save folder.
Option 2: Replace your current files
- Redownload from the above
- Extract the zip
- Wherever your current game folder is, delete it.
- Make sure to take note of the exact folder name.
- Move the new files from step 2 into the same location as where your old folder was. Just make sure it is the same name as what your old was.
- Change the target file
- With the 6.6.0 update, the executable files have been renamed. Game.exe does still exist in the game folder but this may be removed in the future. To prevent any issues with updating later, it is recommended to do this step!
- Open steam (This can be done in either desktop or gaming mode)
- Go to Infinite Fusion and click Properties
- Under "Target" change the path from:
/home/deck/Downloads/InfiniteFusion/game.exe
to /home/deck/Downloads/InfiniteFusion/InfiniteFusion.exe
- This path may vary slightly if you did not leave the game folder in your downloads.
