If there's anything on this list that doesn't answer your question, please feel free to ask Gummy.Frog or Payapon. **Trainer tips: Use crtl+f to look for a specific term or phrase!** Quick Links: - [General Questions](#GenQ) - [Content-related questions](#Submissions) - [Technical questions](#Technical) <a id="GenQ"></a> # General Questions ## **Q:** What kinds of items can I find in Pokémon Infinite Fusion to customize my trainer with? **A:** You can customize your trainer with hairstyles, accessories (hats, glasses, etc.), and outfit sets. ## **Q:** Where can I change my hairstyle? Can I dye my hair a color that isn’t in the game normally? **A:** You can change your hairstyle at any salon. You can also dye your color any color you’d like for an additional fee at the salon. ## **Q:** Can I change the color of my outfit and accessories? **A:** Yes you can! You will need to buy a dye kit. The dye kit is located in Saffron Boutique. Its location in PIF: Hoenn is TBD. ## **Q:** Can I change the color of my character’s skin or gender? **A:** Not without manually editing the game files or starting a new save. You’ll have to manually change the skintone of your character by altering the .png for the skintone you chose. As for your character’s gender, there’s not currently a way to change that without making a new save file. All clothing is gender-neutral, so the only thing that would change is what pronouns you are referred to in-game. ## **Q:** Are clothing and hairstyles gender-locked? **A:** Nope! Some outfits may give the character a more feminine figure, though. ## **Q:** Can I change the color of my character’s eyes or their facial expression? **A:** Not at this time. There are some items that may give you makeup, though. ## **Q:** Are there items that change what my character is holding? I don’t want to hold a Pokéball. **A:** Unfortunately, no. Maybe we will add this at a later date, but it's unlikely. ## **Q:** Can I dress my Pokémon up? **A:** Pokémon can wear any hats that you own after you complete the “I Choose You!” quest in Pewter City in PIF. We will add the unlock conditions in PIF: Hoenn when the demo is live. ## **Q:** I bought something in one location, and I cannot find it anywhere else. Why is that? **A:** Some items can only be bought in specific areas of the game. This includes hairstyles, so keep that in mind before you change your hair. ## **Q:** Where can I find a specific item? **A:** At this time, we are working on a more up-to-date list that will be posted to the Discord. For now, try checking the Infinite Fusion Wiki [**HERE**](https://infinitefusion.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Customization). <a id="Submissions"></a> # Content-Related Questions ## **Q:** I want to make clothing for Pokémon Infinite Fusion. Do I need to have the spriter role first? **A:** Not currently, but your sprites will still be manually reviewed by a manager upon submission. If they are rejected for whatever reason, we will reach out to you and let you know why. We do highly encourage you to submit your items to #spritework in the Discord first for feedback! We also recommend giving the customization guide a read-through [**HERE**](https://hackmd.io/@PIF-Staff/CCGuide). ## **Q:** I can’t find a specific item that I think should really be in the game. Can you add it to the game? **A:** Maybe. You can put in a request in #sprite-requests, but it may be rejected depending on what you want to be made. Currently, we do not allow reference-based items, like cosplays, in the game. ## **Q:** I want to see [character] referenced in the game. Can you add it? **A:** That depends. If the character appears in the Pokémon franchise at all (anime, collaboration, mainline game, spinoff game, manga), we will consider it! Otherwise, the answer is probably no. Some exceptions may apply. ## **Q:** I submitted an item and I noticed it was edited by someone else. Why? **A:** If you submit your items to the game, sprite managers reserve the right to edit it if they deem necessary. This could be to fix bugs, or to fix any issues with the item’s design itself (ex. Geneva convention violations). We will try to let you know if we plan to do this before it happens, so you have a chance to fix it yourself. ## **Q:** I submitted an item, and it was rejected. Why? **A:** If your item was rejected and you were not told why, feel free to ask Gummy.Frog or Payapon and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. ## **Q:** I want to remove my work from Pokémon Infinite Fusion. Can I remove the customization items I have submitted? **A:** Unfortunately, no. Due to the nature of how these items are implemented, character customization items are not removable. You agree to this information every time you submit something to us. <a id="Technical"></a> # Technical Questions ## **Q:** How often do new items get added to the game? **A:** New customization items are implemented every time that the games have a new version to download, as some of them require manual implementation (quest rewards, special trainers, etc.). They are **NOT** part of monthly sprite packs. ## **Q:** I think an item in the game breaks the rules. Where can I report it? **A:** Either in #sprite-errors, or in #custom-outfits-discussion in our Discord! You’re also welcome to message Gummy.Frog or Payapon directly to double-check before you put in the report. ## **Q:** I found an error with a sprite. Where can I report it? **A:** Please let us know in #sprite-errors or in #custom-outfits-discussion in our Discord server!
