Catalyst Improvements Fund 10 Task Force

Purpose of Task Force

  1. To develop a structure for iterative improvements of the Catalyst parameters and core documentation.
  2. To facilitate the research on (i) Catalyst parameters improvements and (ii) Catalyst core documentation revision.
  3. To encourage wider participation in the Catalyst Improvement work process.

Definitions
Catalyst core documentation is defined as the proposer, veteran proposer, challenge team and proposer flagging guidelines. It will also include the Catalyst improvements guidelines (yet to be produced).

Catalyst parameters is defined as all the parameters and rules regarding the process dictating how funds from the Catalyst treasury are allocated. This includes for example rewards parameters, petition process, voting system, proposal and veteran proposal eligibility and reputation.

Task Force Membership Expectations

  1. Members of this task force must participate in the weekly meetings, synchronously or asynchronously.
  2. They also take on a well defined responsibility that relates to the goals of the task force.
  3. Members should read and follow the Code of Conduct for participation facilitated by this Task Force.

Members of the task force are remunerated for their work, including time in meetings. Participants in meetings who have not gone through the application process are not compensated for meeting times (see below). However, they can of course take on Dework tasks which are rewarded with bounties!

How to Participate

Anyone can participate in meetings and contribute by taking on tasks from Dework. However, to be considered a member of the task force, one must apply. This allows one to be paid for the time spent in meetings.

  • Anyone can join this task force.
  • To join, the applicant must submit a Funding Request in the vPA Working group Dework space in accordance to the Funding Request (FR) template.
  • Approval occurs in accordance with the rules of the the vPA treasury.

Meetings

The Catalyst United fund 10 improvements TaskForce meets for 1 hour every Tuesday. The time has regularly been 1500UTC (3pmUTC) but can be changed if the group would benefit from a better timeslot.

All meetings are archived on a dedicated meeting page, and all meeting links include the agenda, recording and notes or minutes from the meeting.

These milestones should be seen as targets to be reached by the weekly meeting has begun. During this meeting, people can give progress updates and discuss next steps or vote on decisions.
