# ACM Board Meet - 26th May, 2021
## 1) ACM Summer Bootcamp(aimed at first-years)
### Why not the store credit model
- **Time Constraints**
- Monetary events require lot of DSW permissions.
- Website approval + Event Approval, only then we could start with the promotion.
- Already issues with DSW, need a simple event which doesn't require much permissions to re-establish the communication
### New Plans
- A 6 session, 2 week long bootcamp.
- 2 speaker sessions(initial and final).
- The inital can be roadmap to development by a guest speaker.
- The final would be resume/portfolio building by another guest.
- 4 workshops in between by ACM members(Code Along 3-5 hr sessions).
- Domains can be Web Frontend, Web Backend, Design and App or as suitable.
- After session, tasks to be given which can be completed by the attendees.
- Mentorship on Discord by ACM memebers throughout the 2 weeks.
- **Perks**
- Certificate to those who attend all the 4 workshops(can be split into single workshop + overall bootcamp certificate to those who attend all the workshops)
- Social Media shoutout to top 5 people(activity + project)
- Coupons(though not useful tbh) will be given.
## 2) KSL 2.0 (Name to be decided by our juniors)
- Best way to get social media **outreach :)**
- This year we will have multiple whatsappp groups to expand the community to tech+non-tech people.
- The ACM Summer Bootcamp discord server will be converted to ACM Community where freshers from these groups can join for mentorship.[Outer Circle :)]
- Inital plan to have 4/6 groups with voluntary participation in the group by the Core
## 3) Code++
- Next big event for ACM-VIT.
- Free promotion from VITSpot on a large scale, will attract a large audience.
- As the target is also freshers cause cc will be a general topic for them rather than a hack, to increase participation + engagement, we will need to conduct a 2 series workshop for **Introduction to CC** just like L2C.
- Need monetary sponsorship for the same.
## 4) ACM Internal Working
- Projects to be assigned to juniors. How? What?To be discussed in a technical meet.
- Members to also attend the Bootcamp if interested.
- Informal meet/games to increase their interaction.
- Please start engaging with the juniors on 1+2 :)
## 5) ACM Notion
- Everything in oneplace from events to social media to anything else.
- To keep track of all the events + timeline of each event.
## 6) A spreadsheet with all juniors where we will be mentioning their contributions.
- For e.g. HTS web 1st post - just wriing along side the name of a particular junior the work he did, caption+design+content+any other thing am junior worked on.
- Helpful to know who did what when we decide the person for the next event and in future the next board.
## 7) ACM membership is due for renewal on 31st August. We also need the ACM T-shirts. Need to get the juniors involved in the community so that they don't feel forced for both of the payments :)
## 8) C2C Certificates by the end of the month.
> **Final Note** - The next month is important for both the internal community building, learning and outreach. If executed properly, we can have all what we desire in the above mentioned pointers. A little extra push by all the board members will surely help the chapter to become stronger.
## 9) ACM Report to be submitted on 31st August
> Must include all the activity we've done in the past year - whether internal or external, records must be maintained.
> We must aim for the ACM Student Chapter Award for next year.
