Present: Tom Arnold (TA), Andrew Nelson (AN), Brian Maranville (BBM), Stefan Kowarik (SK), Max Skoda (MS) Apologies: # Agenda ## 1. Review previous minutes and assign a note taker - [x] Minutes approved Open Actions from previous meetings: - [x] ACTION_SEP25 Work out costs for AGM at SXNS and how we want to organise the meeting (everyone) -> TA contacted Phillipp Gutfreund. He thinks that Eur500 would cover catering. Can we get a sponsor for that? If we wanted to go for a sponsored dinner we'd need more money. TA is still working on the sponsorship. - [x] ACTION_NOV1: TA to book webpage editing session with JS -> We had a meeting, implementing (SK, JS, AM, TA) website design. Content isn't fundamentally changing, but the front page is flatter. A demo has been distributed: github.com/reflectivity/reflectivity.github.io/blob/master/www_draft.md - [ ] ACTION_JAN19a: MS to think of someone to discuss/present on legal issues associated with personally identifiable info. -> MS hasn't got anyone specific yet. MS is going to find someone from the *Mantid/computing/IDAAS* group to discuss the issues here. Not clear who initiated the concerns here (management/computing group/??). MS will ask Sara Rogers, who could possibly furnish more info here. (is it n-data that they're concerned about, or personal info) - [x] ACTION_JAN19b: BBM to invite Mathieu Doucet to ORSO workshop. -> BBM contacted Mathieu, but he said he couldn't come because of funding (ask him for clarification). If we have sponsorship funds it may help him travel? He's happy to present remotely if possible, but there are issues here. We were going to ask him to talk about analysing hundreds of sequential time datasets with ML. Is SK or Frank Schreiber a possible substitute for Mathieu if he can't come? - [x] ACTION_JAN19: TA to speak with Phillipp/Giovanna to ask about financial & sponsorship situation for catering. ## 2. AGM at SXNS. Some discussion of the ORSO schedule. To be followed up at the next meeting. ## AOB We had a discussion on how to engage people. Regular workshops/focus sessions where everyone can contribute (in between major meetings) e.g. - XRR data reduction (propagation of uncertainties/systematics) - Mantid users come together to discuss how to commonly write OR{T/B}? Date of the next meeting: Mar 8h 10:30 GMT (11:30 Europe, 05:30 US, 21:30 Aus)
