# Agenda
We welcomed SK to his first ORSO meeting and introduced ourselves to him. SK is now on the user committee for the ESRF and is actively interested in public service in this area.
## 1. Review previous minutes and assign a note taker
- [x] Minutes approved
Open Actions from previous meetings:
- [x] ACTION_APR8: ARM to look into mailing list options.
(BBM/AM) No traction on this yet. Still an action item at ISA to do ML list stuff. We closed this action because it's not helpful? BBM reports that ISA has some funding from ESS that may help in this area. It's important for outreach activity.
- [ ] ACTION_SEP25 Work out costs for AGM at SXNS and how we want to organise the meeting (everyone)
Feedback from Phillipp Gutfreund was that costs would be negligible and that the SXNS could help with funding for rooms.
TA about to send out an email regarding AGM to the existing ML, and would like each WG to provide news items.
- [ ] ACTION_NOV1: TA to book webpage editing session with JS
## 2. AGM at SXNS.
We've agreed with SXNS organisers to use Friday of the conference week for the ORSO meeting. The JWW symposium meeting is on the Thursday afternoon to Friday lunchtime, which will overlap with the ORSO meeting. ILL have graciously provided free rooms for us to have the meeting.
There is interest from SAGA (ESS) to have a meeting at a roughly similar time.
Catering might cost for the meeting, for which we might need to seek sponsorship.
Try to firm up some plans for AGM.
### Morning
Hybrid breakout sessions for hardcore ORSO nerds
1.5 to 2 hours.
Data formats:
--> Metadata discussion (think DAPHNE/orso/ExPANDS views), in an area similar to Jochen's talk to DAPHNE.
--> Discussion on model language. (JS)
--> Discussion on legal issues associated with personally identifiable info (e.g. GDPR/data protection/names). ACTION: MS to think of someone for this. Andy Goetz?
Reproducibility:
--> Reference datasets (BMM)
--> ?How to simulate datasets? (Jos Cooper/AN?)
Analysis:
--> Talk and short discussion on 'lost' techniques. e.g. Maximum Entropy. (AndrewN)
--> BBM suggests a talk by Mathieu Doucet on 200 ms dataset and parameter evolution over 1000s of datasets.
ACTION: BBM to invite him.
SLDdatabase:
--> ????
### Afternoon
- sciency talk
- plenary session. Have in afternoon so it doesn't overlap with JWW. We're thinking ML benchmarks? Hiro Aoki Tomography? Ionic liquid/d2o?
- AGM. Have AGM such that it doesn't overlap with the JWW session, so in the afternoon.
- sponsor talk. SK suggested Anton Paar. MS suggested Biolin, TA suggested Kibron. BM advised that we should tread lightly, e.g. not clashing with SXNS sponsors. Perhaps we should approach SXNS sponsors? One advantage of having industrial sponsors at the meeting is that it could then encourage industrial participation.
ACTION: TA to speak with Phillipp/Giovanna to ask about financial situation for catering. Also w.r.t the sponsorship situation.
SK might talk to Oleg Mar??? (Anton Paar) who he will meet at the user meeting.
- working groups in breakout rooms (4).
- sciency talks
