Nuria SfN Poster, Albert Plot Portion ===================================== ## Learning Curve ### Sample Learning Animals Each HPM(hits per minute) calculation in the following plots is an average of all hits over 5 minute window. IT1 181002 ![](https://i.imgur.com/5OP5Iei.png) PT12 190212 ![](https://i.imgur.com/g8S30Yz.png) ### Sample Learning Animal with Motivation Decay (Probably it would be better to fit a polynomial here instead?) PT7 181129 ![](https://i.imgur.com/OniM3X6.png) All the HPM data can be found in **afp://169.229.54.53/DATA_01/NL/layerproject/plots/learning/final** --------- ## Calcium Event Raster Through BMI learning sessions, clear calcium event tuning patterns are evident. ### Calcium Event Tuning Across Time Window Within Session IT2 181002 **E1** ![](https://i.imgur.com/50rbN9I.png) **E2** ![](https://i.imgur.com/Cp05R3k.png) **Indirect Red Neuron** \#647 ![](https://i.imgur.com/l1wNaZ8.png) ### Calcium Event Tuning Across Trial Within Session (Hard To Visualize? Maybe Concatenate 5-10 trials and make a PSTH?) PT7 181129 **Ensemble Neuron** ![](https://i.imgur.com/MVz7FyD.png) **Indirect Red Neuron** \#1411 ![](https://i.imgur.com/6bJdwzM.png) \#1784 ![](https://i.imgur.com/hIW0dvz.png) (Interestingly this neuron seems more active over time) All the plots for IT2/PT7 animals are now in **afp://169.229.54.53/DATA_01/NL/layerproject/plots/PSTH**, plots for all animals are being generated for further visualization -------- ## Bursty Tuning Through learning, neurons in animals display interesting tuning in the burstiness of their calcium transients. Three measures are used as follows to show this trend; **NOTE: these metrics are dimensionless**. ROI_type: the expression type of neurons in the ROI: * E1--E1 neuron for BMI task; * E2--E2 neuron for BMI task; * IR--all the red neurons with the viral expression marking cell type; * IG--All the green neurons; * D--Potential Dendrites IT animals have 24 days maximum, while PT animals only have 17 days. The plots are therefore generated with only first 17 days. NOTE: All the data used here are from the following animals: * PT: 'PT7', 'PT12', 'PT9', 'PT6' * IT: 'IT5', 'IT3', 'IT6', 'IT2', 'IT1', 'IT4' ### Tuning Across Days **CV(Coefficient of Variation) Metric** ![](https://i.imgur.com/CKwa5rh.png) **Unbiased CV ($(1+\frac{1}{4n})\frac{\sigma}{\mu}$) Metric** ![](https://i.imgur.com/MIWFZkr.png) **Standard Error In Percentage ($\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}\mu}$) Metric** ![](https://i.imgur.com/YclhuNU.png) --------- ### Tuning Within Sessions **CV(Coefficient of Variation) Metric** ![](https://i.imgur.com/SUPgz7X.png) **Unbiased CV ($(1+\frac{1}{4n})\frac{\sigma}{\mu}$) Metric** ![](https://i.imgur.com/tg7rEzE.png) **Standard Error In Percentage ($\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}\mu}$) Metric** ![](https://i.imgur.com/0yGCMx7.png) All Data are available here: **afp://169.229.54.53/DATA_01/NL/layerproject/plots/bursting/IBI_contrast_4_animal** -------- ## Burstiness Distribution Contrast Here we contrast the distribution of IBI of Calcium Events for neurons within the imaging region. Three Measures defined above are used as well. The animals used are: * IT: IT3, IT4, IT5, IT6 * PT: PT6, PT7, PT9, PT12 #### CV ![](https://i.imgur.com/QGIGX7y.png) #### unbiased CV ![](https://i.imgur.com/ENnTAac.png) #### Standard Error in Percentage ![](https://i.imgur.com/khpUTWN.png) Data are available here: **afp://169.229.54.53/DATA_01/NL/layerproject/plots/bursting/4animals**
