# ai16z: Open-source dAGI DAO

## What is ai16z?
ai16z is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) that focuses on advancing decentralised Artificial General Intelligence (dAGI) through the development of a robust AI agent framework, forging industry partnerships, education on developing AI tools and agents, and the management of an autonomous AI-traded fund.

### ElizaOS

ElizaOS is a simple, fast, and lightweight AI agent framework designed for developers to build agents tapped into multiple blockchain networks. Featuring multi-agent architecture, character system, advanced RAG system, multi-platform support, media processing capabilities, flexible AI model support, and a modular architecture, ElizaOS will be the leading solution in its field.

ElizaOS have attracted unprecedented engineering talent as evidenced by being the top trending GitHub repository for the months of November and December 2024, with over 11k stars and 275 active contributors as of today. Developers are welcome to contribute to the biggest open-source agent framework in the Web3 market.

### Eliza Labs
Eliza Labs encompasses all partnerships and investments within the ai16z ecosystem, with partnerships ranging from Web2 academia to Web3 ecosystem partners.

### 🟧 DAO

The 🟧 DAO represents the builder and developer community, utilizing ElizaOS and contributing to the ai16z ecosystem. It is a bazaar of development, where projects are pitched and kickstarted.

Projects launched using ElizaOS are incentivized to tribute 10% of their supply to the ai16z DAO fund, contributing to a flywheel effect of increasing value of assets under management (AUM), which further incentivizes future developers to tribute and be part of the network.

### Pmairca and DegenspartanAI

Pmairca and DegenspartanAI handle the ai16z DAO fund through autonomous trading. As a parody of the name of the highly successful a16z fund, it aims to surpass the yield of a16z through the different strategies that Pmairca and DegenspartanAI will employ.

## ai16z Tokenomics
An investment in the ai16z token is an investment in the future of dAGI and empowering the ecosystem as outlined above. The value accrual plan for the ai16z token is outlined as follows:

### Phase 0: Tier-based DAO Membership
The ai16z DAO introduces a tier-based membership, where holders of 100k or more ai16z tokens are assigned a role as partners. This role comes with the benefit of entering the exclusive DAO zone on the ai16z Discord channel, where project builders and other partners collaborate to form workgroups that enrich the presence of ai16z DAO in the Web2 and Web3 ecosystems.

Other partners and projects are incentivized to airdrop tokens and NFTs to this exclusive group due to the collaborative nature of the DAO workgroup, further enhancing the benefits of becoming a partner by holding 100k ai16z tokens.

### Phase 0.5: RetroPGF (Retroactive Public Goods Funding)
RetroPGF will implement a comprehensive contribution tracking framework that operates seamlessly across GitHub and Discord platforms, featuring dynamic leaderboards at various time intervals.

At its core, AI-powered summarization capabilities, leveraging both Ollama and OpenAI, will process and analyze and automatically generate:
- Discord conversations
- Technical discussions

and FAQs and documentation updates. The automated distribution mechanism, inspired by RuneScape's leaderboard system, operates through Discord and Twitter bots, recognizing specialized roles including Architects, Maintainers, Feature Developers, Bug Fixers, Reviewers, and DevOps specialists.

RetroPGF will incorporate sophisticated domain expertise tracking across multiple disciplines such as API Development, Blockchain, AI Systems, Security, and UI Development. A progressive experience system manages skill-specific achievements, with an intelligent reward distribution mechanism that activates upon user engagement, providing detailed context for each reward allocation. This approach effectively addresses challenges related to inactive users and token sellers while maintaining the ability to distribute rewards retroactively based on historical contributions.

### Phase 1: Agent Marketplace (To Be Announced)
Through an acquisition of a ready-for-market Agent Marketplace, it will be the schelling point for innovation on the Eliza framework, including:
- Agent-to-agent interactions (swarms)
- Multi-chain integrations

and other frontier advancements enabled by the industry-leading plugin architecture of ElizaOS. A curation process to vet and endorse high-quality projects will involve ai16z partners.

Value-capture mechanisms include:
- Launch fees
- ai16z token staking for access
- liquidity pool pairings with ai16z

Buyback and burn mechanics using agent marketplace fees are being explored as a value accrual strategy.

Post launch of the agent marketplace, code will be progressively open-sourced so the community can collaborate on it.

### Phase 1.5: Ecosystem Growth and Incentive Alignment (To Be Announced)
The ai16z ecosystem will have multiple products adding value to each other, returning direct value to the ai16z token.

Projects and developers are incentivized to build on the ai16z ecosystem through ecosystem funds, potential investment from the autonomous investor pmairca and degenspartanAI, and fee sharing from the agent marketplace, to feed value back to the ai16z token as launch cadence increases.

Currently, development on this phase is still ongoing in the DAO zone of the ai16z DAO. All partners are welcome to contribute to the success of ai16z as a whole.
