# Abstract Differation in species mechanics has proven to be desired by the recent surge of species reworks (see teshari, slimepeople, mothpeople) and also approved by their merging (though the slimepeople rework has not been merged). Taurs are strikingly different from everyone around them, however the only thing that differentiates them is a larger and unique sprite, as well as the rare special clothing option. While an acceptable state of affairs, it's not ideal. For something with such exotic biology, taurs are strikingly similar to humans in mechanics. Much like the species reworks, this can be changed by giving taurs taur-speicfic mechanics. # Goals 1. Differentiate taur gameplay from anthro gameplay 2. Make taurs feel more special 3. Potentially differentiate taur gameplay apart from eachother * Not necessarily a goal, but ideally different taurs will have different sets of mechanics based on their anatomy # Non-Goals This does not... 1. Cause Taurs to be significantly better or worse at anything important * Being a Taur is a modifier to a character, not a defining feature like a species * If it does make them significantly better, there is a drawback, or it is a relatively unused/unimportant feature * Alternatively, there is a drawback in another place 2. Do any changes that will cause undue annoyance * Things like being unable to walk backwards as a lamia fall under this - it is true due to anatomy but its unfun and annoying # Taur Types ## Serpentine **Serpentine** taurs are very long and have total motor control over their entire body, which allows them to coil and stretch their massive length. https://hackmd.io/@NikoTheGuyDUde/HkJ1cMQlC ## Quadruped - Canine, Bovine, Feline, Horses https://hackmd.io/@NikoTheGuyDUde/BJG8uQyGR
