# Baton PR FAQ
UP TO DATE AS OF 6/2/23 6:19PM EST
* Does this affect beepsky? (Beepsky, Nerf)
* No
* Why does overcharge disable when I drop my baton or put it away?
* Overcharge disables if you remove it from the top-level inventory of yourself (back, belt, suit slots, hands) to avoid hoarding tactics
* Why does my baton take so long to charge? (Baton, Power, Cell, Security)
* You likely have the basic cell installed. It has high capacity to faciliate early-game combat but with a limited recharge to prevent you from being dependant on it. Find a better one via science
* What about stunprods? (Stunprod, Overcharge, Cell, Power, Boomerang)
* They have a base x2 multiplier to cell cost, meaning half the overcharges
* Same for boomerangs
* How does this affect contractors? (Contractor, Baton, Nerf)
* Contractors now take 3 hits to stamcrit a seccie, with seccies resisting the first hit
* 3-4 hits for riot armor, resisting the first two
## What is overcharge?
* How do I overcharge? (Help, Baton, Overcharge)
* Click the button in the top left that has the baton icon
* What does overcharging do? (Help, baton, Overcharge)
* Overcharge massively increases the armor penetration of the baton while increasing stun cost massively and adding passive discharge
* The discharge exists to encourage you to not use it constantly
* Why does it take time to charge a baton? (Baton, overcharge, charge, delay, help)
* To encourage you to stick with your overcharge and not use it on a whim.
* The charge time is very fickle and is likely to change
* This sounds like crap! Im gonna have to resort to killing evreyone now! (Baton, Overcharge, Kill)
* Literally just keep hitting them with your baton. Like seriously if you have a bluespace cell it just takes longer
* Also you will get banned. Stop.
## How to adapt
* How do I stamcrit people now? (Help, Baton, Nerf, Overcharge, Security, Stamcrit, Hardstun, Maintfu)
* The bluespace cell has ~3 charges, the basic unrecharagble cell has ~2.
* You have multiple ways of adding the extra damage
* Assuming fighting a contractor with armor booster:
* Your bluespace cell has enough power to finish them off via normal attacks, dont forget your damage is only halved against a contractor with an armor booster
* Assuming they dont have sleeping carp, your disabler is fast firing and quick
* Once they get knocked down, **RIGHT CLICK THEM.** This hardstuns them (hardstun = complete inability to DO ANYTHING) for ~2 seconds, which is more than enough time to aggrograb (grab twice - this makes them unable to fight or move, and if they try to move, they will attempt to break out - if they fail, they take stamina damage [failure damage likely will be removed later]).
* Once you have an aggrograb, grab again to initiate a neckgrab. You can still attack during this time
* You can also use multiple overcharged batons at once, but you need to sacrifice, say, the suit slot for it
* I hate this action button. So inconveneint! (Help, Overcharge, Action, Button, UI)
* YOu're right, this does suck. Im looking for a way to improve it but in the meantime
* Clickdrag the button to a better position for ease of overcharging
